'Green now 87kg and Flores likely to be 95kg' - Danny Green

    Danny Green reveals weight gain ahead of fight against undefeated American BJ Flores in Perth

    Danny Green has gained 4kg in a bid to combat a rival he describes as "easily the biggest bloke I've faced inside a ring - ever".

    After a sparring session yesterday the International Boxing Organisation cruiserweight champion revealed how the past two months have been spent increasing his weight for American BJ Flores.

    Yet even now at 87kg, Green is significantly lighter than the undefeated Californian - who could enter the ring weighing about 95kg in Perth on Wednesday night.

    "The bloke is an absolute monster," Green's trainer, Angelo Hyder, concurred.

    "The official weigh-in mark is 90.7kg but when he comes to fight more than 24 hours later, mate, who knows how heavy he will be.

    "A little guy like Vic Darchinyan can put on 6kg so I reckon Flores could weigh in 95, 96, even 98."

    Green added: "BJ's only 31 years old. He's undefeated and it's a very dangerous proposition we've chosen.

    "This fight is being screened on ESPN in America so he won't want to be embarrassed. This is his shot at glory - if he beats me it opens massive doors both financially and professionally."

    Going off what Hyder says i wouldnt bank my house on it, maby just the caravan and squaters? haha, if we take a ride back in time i recall hyder making mention of talk to bring out Evander Holyfeild to fight Green at LH, when Green was bashed from his fans in an open chat session in ref to this he stated that the words Evander Holyfeild have never come out of his mouth in ref to a future fight.

    So hows about that one Green fans? whats going on here? Hyder making mention of Evander and Green doesnt have a clue about it nor is he intrested in such a fight. hmmmmm lol

    Danny has NEVER fought a true CW. Even when he won the IBO title the guy he fought wasnt a true CW, Dominguez usually fought between 75-80kg, not 90kg.

    Flores has been inactive for 15 months,he fought nobody,Green was wearing loaded gloves,Flores was drugged like the Yanks did with Phar Lap.he ducked Ross and Dawson.
