if you look just at the rankings, then imo our generation right now is ideed talented.

both klitschko, hof and top 20 heavy of all time
haye , former cruiserweight champion, fast and powerful and very talented, hof
povetkin, olympic gold medalist and unbeaten
adamek, former lhw champ, cruiser weight champ and worthy contender, hof
chagaev, former titleholder and great amateur (world champion)
chambers, very talented but a little bit too small
boytsov, nice prospect (hype or no hype?)
valuev, former title holder and very difficult to fight
    dimitrenko, ****
    arreola, fat ****
solis, olympic gold medalist and stand out amateur, but fat
peter, former titl.eholder and good sluger
    thompson, very underrated tall southpow

so imo it looks very good, very good talent, the problem is that the contenders don't fight each other and the klitschkos are simple too good for all, so they all look weak.

imagine fights ala chagaev vs chambers, chagaev vs adamek, chagaev vs peter, chagaev vs boytsov, chagaev vs povetkin, adamek vs peter, adamek vs chambers, adamek vs povetkin, haye vs some one in the top 10^^, then it would be one of the best heavyweight eras ever.
especially adamek vs povetkin and chagaev vs povetkin, that would be ****ing great

5-5 in your opinion, and there's certainly something to say about your pics. And Wlad KO's Spinks... so 6-5 for 2010 and the 2 of the 3 beltholders win. But you said '85 > '10 ??? :huh

I think he has 6-5 for '85, if Wlad KOs Spinks...

Holmes from the Witherspoon fight onward was like the Ottoman Empire after the Battle of Vienna, steadily in retreat. Sure there were turn back the clock moments against the run of form like the 14th and 15th rounds against Williams but he was far too slow come 1985.

That said, he got jobbed in the rematch against Spinks.

Where is Tony Thompson on the 2010 list, easily better than Dimentrenko.

also, the 2010 Heavyweights beat the 1985ers.

Then why have him at 7? I think you could slide Solis in there.
