Don't really see it that way. Because, for one, Floyd tried to make the fight with Manny in Dec/Jan. Manny had a choice to make...regarding the test. And he made it....and let Floyd go on to fight the possible spoiler in Mosley. Shoe seems to be on the other foot this time...and Margo is playing the role of spoiler.

When Floyd returns to the sport, I would really like to see what Floyd's response would be if Manny TRULY called his bluff, and agreed to testing with NO cutoff (assuming he gets past his spoiler).

Prior to that, their PPV sales were marginal. But, Oscar has NEVER reached over 1.4 million buys against ANY fighter except Floyd.

The only reason the Manny fight did not sell as well is because again many people thought Oscar would beat Manny easy. If you remember everyone was pissed for that fight as well.
I still say it's apples and oranges. Floyd had to matched up very well to get those numbers. That's the real reason Mayweather does not fight as often. The only choices left may lead to a loss. Martinez, Williams or Pacquiao.
If Manny were to fight Mosley now it would do terrible because people would think it's a mismatch at this point. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what PPV numbers were for the Baldimir fight?

 

Both Mayweather's and Pacquiao's ppv numbers before Oscar weren't nothing compared to what they are now

How strangely, some of the same fans and commenters who have referred to Mayweather as “Gayweather” for his refusal to fight their icon are now angry at his homophobic rant. How the same fools who have repeatedly called him a “******” and made other racially stereotypical remarks regarding Mayweather’s African American heritage, are saying his taunts about Pacquiao’s culture are unforgiveable.
