Shommel's asking specifically for winners in title fights, which narrows it down considerably. Marciano actually said the Charles rematch "was my easiest fight." Hagler overcame a nasty cut to stop Hearns, as did Robinson in halting Turpin. Watt-O'Grady is overshadowed by the decisive butt. However, Watt was so severely cut earlier in that one that Mickey Duff very nearly stopped it. Chacon also overcame severe bleeding to win the rematch over another Duff charge, Boza Edwards. (Pacheco did want it stopped, fueling his "Fright Doctor" moniker.) Jeffries was badly carved up by Fitz in their rematch. Dempsey suffered a torn ear (ouch!) in the Brennan defense. Most of the worst wounds sustained by title fight winners happened in an era of black and white imagery.

He KOed Ali (at the bell of course) and got a standing ovation from the Queen of England. Hell yes, he won the event.
