In an attempt to gun with Tony, Matthew gets brutally stopped, and quite early, too.

Matthew shows Tony what "tough" is, with Tony quitting on his stool after 10.

Neither fulfilled their respective vast potential for diifferent reasons. Both ran afoul of the law, although Matthew was not in the same universe in terms of being a scoundrel that is his brother Davey or Ayala were. Matthew, I believe was arrested years back for robbing a Dunkin Donuts with a toy gun. I think his brother (not Davet though) was there with him. In terms of who wins this I would go with Matthew Hilton by mid-round kayo in an absolute barnburner. Even though Antufermo and Benitez were both past it they were still much better names than anyone Ayala ever beat. And the way Hilton beat them was astonishing. This guy had some serious punching power and speed throwing combos.

Hilton KO 7 Ayala in an absolute war.

Matthew would stop Tony in five rounds, too much experience for him.

This should be about Ayala, Jr. versus David Hilton, not Matthew. The caestus ought to be worn on their hands for this one, and noted dog lover Mike Vick should be the referee. Competition to be within the confines of an electric fence, charged to a fatal voltage.

Hilton had the better chin of the two, and was a murderous puncher, so theres a legit chance of him icing Tony in the early to mid rounds. I suspect that the farther it goes though, the more Tony's more educated and technical assault would take its toll on Matthew.

Basically.... a pick em. But gun to my head, I'll take Ayala. Better overall talent, and had a much better skill set.

A very likely scenario with Ayala.

I would be a war for a round or two and then the power of Hilton and the quality of opposition compared to Ayala's competition takes over. I really do not know what Ayala has as far as quality or potential as a fighter. He never fought top guys to really know how good he was, so I really cannot say he was a bad fighter either. We just do not know, but if you match up the Hilton who fought Drayton with Ayala of 1982 I think Hilton would win this one.
