cotto - Pacquiao. Pretty horrible beating Cotto took.

    Pacquiao - Diaz

    Tyson - Biggs.

    Leonard - Mayweather

Yes, but IIRC Leonard suffered a lot of damage from the fight, Four Kings talks about how he was pissing blood and needed a lot of care after the bout.

Maybe but Leonard didn't actually take a one sided shellacking.

He landed plenty of his own stuff, alot of rounds were close and Ray actually finished the stronger of the two.Plus he was in top condition to go again 6 months later (more so than Duran).

Sure Montreal may have taken some physical toll on Leonard but when you're looking at worst beatings ever I don't think this fight applies at all.

I'd tend to look at something like Toney-Barkley for example.A fight were one man gets absolutely hammered, offers nothing in return himself,is physically marked and basically finished as a top line fighter afterwards.

None of which Leonard was after Montreal.

Fuller vs Paret was every bit as bad as Paret/Griffith.

I'd say the Gomez fight among others were far worse. Paulie M fight too.

Saad Muhamed/ Dwight Braxton was hard to watch. Duran/ Moore was also horrable. You know, you can't be too hard on the refs, differant refs have differant limits. Its where you see a guy who's completely out getting hammered like Norton against Cooney that kind of pisses me off. When a boxer is in that position, I expect the ref to be RIGHT THERE!

    Good point. :good

Tyson sadistically tortured Biggs in the ring for 7 rounds of hell, utilising stomach-churning body shots & brutal timed bombs, not to mention the vicious elbows, lowblows & kidney punches. Poor Tyrell was never the same fighter again, ruined physically & especially mentally.
