I recall Lara's team was trying to get a fight with Spinks when he was still IBF champ. My guess is they will go for K-9.

Cordobas cuban trainer Orlando Cuellar said to ***********:" Ricardo had 120 rounds of sparring with cuban fighters with similar styles to that of Rigondeaux".
Not sure but months ago he named Luis Franco and Rances Barthelemy.
ONLY THREE DAYS TO RIGO WILL WALK INTO THE RING AND PICK UP A BELT:

It could possibly be one of Rigo's strengths as a pro, his opponents may have difficulties to find good sparring. I'm not sure I agree about Kindelan being similar but that's beside the point.

Different topic: Has anyone here seen young amateur HW Leinier Perot? I hear good things but have only found a few very short clips from the youth olympics.

One of the biggest newspapers in Scandinavia have 4 , yes four pages of Rigondeaux today friday. I talked wth a sportjournalist and he was interested , but four pages thats crazy. Wonder if Rigo bring some friend into the ring tomorrow. Lara had Rigo and Ugas walking with him last fight ,maybe we see the three again tomorrow ?

Rigo is definitely making some noise, and with the PPV being so crappy, he has the chance to steal the entire show. Wonder if Top Rank will allow a Golden Boy fighter (Lara) to walk in with him, especially now that Lara called Vanes the Martian's bluff. If he does walk in, he should wear some Vanes mockery t-shirt.

    Rigo won by SD.

Good performance considering that this was only his 7th pro fight.

Anyone else think he should go back with Roach though?

Shields seem to be turning him into a mini version of Wlad.

November 18th The six bout fight card will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mission Valley, a suburb of San Diego, and it will mark the first time that the veteran San Diego boxing promoter sets up shop at that venue.

In the main event, undefeated Cuban exile Lester “Cubanito” Gonzalez (11-0-1, 6KOs) and upset minded Chris “The Last Chapter” Chatman (8-1, 4KOs), both of San Diego and southpaws, will battle it out for the California State super welterweight title over eight rounds
