It is mean-spirited. But if you continue to follow the sport there is going to be a ton of "uncalled for" things - almost to a point where your complaints have no ending point. Margarito isn't the first and he surely won't be the last to say/do something controversial. I think as fans we should give them a bit of a leeway. Otherwise why watch the sport if we're going to continuously complain about something that's actually been around for a long time?
