Remember that he just went through a messy divorce and he's only got a handful of big fights left so he wants to be on whatever team will get him the biggest paydays.

yup, Mosley has been a stable and one of the iconic figures in Golden Boy, after De La Hoya who else do you think as Golden Boy?? Mosley and now he is bailing?........If he is headed to Top Rank he is probably figure it is easier to get bouts made if he fights in house Top Rank guys.....I have always een a Mosley fan.....wish him the best in whatever he decides to do........Part of it I think has to do with the decision to make Mosley-Mora PPV?? Come one HBO WCB, HBO BAD, or maybe Showtime, that was bad business.....Top Rank right now has some big draws that he can get a decent pay day fighting against.........Possible hoping for a Pac fight??... figures that it will be made if it is an in house Top Rank fight rather if he is with Golden boy

and margarito and cotto, has he ever tried low balling them?

gbp had mosley doing almost a 2 year lay off

hell they even offered JMM a fight before mosley, it was as if mosley was their back up if any of the other fights never happened.

What about Mosley vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.?

That would be a great step up fight and reputation building for the new Mexican star.

    I would definitely watch it.

So all professional relations with GBP have been severed? It seems implicit but nobody's confirmed yet that he is no longer a partner in the company.

Plenty of options for shane with Top Rank....I would throw him in there with Clottey...The loser is pretty much done on the big stage...

    :good

When I first saw this thread at 6am, I was just leaving work. So I figured after Gym Workout, Pediatrician visit with my son, and finally getting settled in front of the Laptop, I just knew everyone would have this Mosley to Top Rank **** figured out. And to my surprise, the usual suspects just didn't have a clue..."Mosley vs Cotto 2" - "Mosley vs Margarito 2" - "Mosley vs Martirosyan" - "Mosley vs Clottey"....REALLY, SERIOUSLY?

However, there were a handful of posters that are able see through the strong "Scent of Greed" from Bob Arum. This is as simple as Arum + Roach + Pacquiao + Mosley = MORE MONEY FOR BOB ARUM WITH "IN-HOUSE FIGHTS". Mosley signing with Top Rank Inc., I Imagine was an "ULTIMATUM deal. Mosley probably had a Another meeting with the Top Rank Brass, to get that fight with Manny that he's always wanted before he retires. And unlike last time when they told him that he has to drop to 142-143lbs in order to fight Pacquiao, now they are perfectly fine with 147lbs...But Arum probably said "Shane, the only way it will happen is if you become a Top Rank Fighter"...Weeks Later Mosley Signs. Bob Arum is Smart as a Fox...A GREEDY FOX!!!

Pacquiao vs Mosley in March-April of 2011. And watch the Forums Light-up with tons of Threads Giving Pacquiao MAD PROPS AND CRAZY CREDIT for beating a fighter and the same posters were calling OLD AND SHOT ON "MAY 2ND".

In my Opinion...ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Shot is Jermain Taylor, Shot is Edison Miranda, Shot was Fernando Vargas, Shot was Ricardo Mayorga. Shane has only been beaten Handily once in his career...by the Most Skillful Fighter in the Sport. He's Old...No doubt about it, BUT NOT SHOT!!!! He hasn't been knocked down or stopped even after he has gotten old. Even when Cotto beat Shane, there was NOTHING impressive nor one-sided or even domination on Cotto's part. A round here or a round there, Mosley would be getting a 115-113 UD. Mora the BIGGER Fighter who came into the ring at 169lbs (A ****ing Light Heavyweight) ran from the so-called SHOT Mosley...ALL NIGHT LONG!!! The so-called SHOT Fighter was the one going forward pressing the action.

Oh.....I get it. A fighter is only SHOT when Mayweather Beats them.

Oscar was always bitter about the roids cheating and tried to have the decision overturned even up to recent times so I guess Mosley was more of a trophy than a partner for GBP

Mayorga recently outboxed Mosley up to the last seconds of fight and a flash KO
