Personally, I think you overrate Tyson.

Tyson would blow out Patterson I agree. You claiming Patterson has a glass chin disqualifies your oppinion though.
Tyson would be a favourite over Schmeling but Schmeling is in with a life chance due to his awkward style, own power and ring intelligence. Schmeling would also be Tyson´s career best win.
Tyson-Dempsey is a pick´em IMO. Tyson is bigger but not stronger. Dempsey actually can fight going backwards and is a bit better defensivly. Tyson punches slightly harder I think. They are both equally as fast. One thing that lets me eye Dempsey a bit is the fact that he got up to win when getting knocked down, Tyson never showed that. If Dempsey would floor Tyson early, which he certainly is capable of, I think he wins.

Legacywise there´s nothing between those four. All four were ranked for a long time, all beat plenty of ranked contender, all achieved unique things. There may be slight advantages to one or another and that may be important to you. To me however those things don´t matter much - one reason why I abondoned rankings. There are only two standout hws and neither of those four is among them.

Disqualifies my opinion..? It's a known FACT that Floyd does not have a very good chin.. Against Tyson he would need it.. there's no way he would stay away from Tyson for 12 rounds
Of course Schmelling has a live chance but I really dont think he would do very well at all because he would end up standing toe to toe with Tyson
Dempsey I think probably gets knocked out early... And I definitely think tyson is stronger then Dempsey.. The pictures and video suggest Tyson has more defined muscles.. and just a stronger man. Yes, Tyson has never got up to win a fight.. He still showed plenty of heart though in the Douglas and Lewis fight... In his peak I definitely think he kills all 3 of them..

Patterson was stopped 5 times. As often as Tyson. Patterson was only stopped by atg punchers and by Ali. Tyson was stopped by fringe contenders. Do you think Tyson has a glass chin? No? Yes, Patterson was knocked down more often. So? He came back to win most of the time, something Tyson never did btw. Although Patterson was never knocked down past round 4, oh and what coincidence there are reports that suggest he had some kind of stage fever.
No, Patterson had not a glass chin. It was certainly not iron though. Average that´s what it is.
Just because people saying Patterson has a glass chin doesn´t make it though. It may be a known fact though, among ******s without a brain and eys of their own. Known fact my arse.

Tyson was stronger because he had more defined muscles? WTF? :rofl That one kills me.
I have more defined muscles than my dad who also has quite a beer belly and doesn´t really look strong. He did hard physical work his whole life, I did sport and worked out since I was a boy. He´s stronger than me. Looks can be deceiving.

Yeah, he was stopped 5 times... But he got stopped in ONE ROUND by Liston and knocked down many many times by Ingo... really pathetic for an atg to get man handled like that
He was knocked down more often then Tyson.. And in more of a devestating fashion.. And if he got knocked down by Tyson, he would get finished.. Anyone knows really that Patterson got knocked down all the time and got blown away by Liston twice... So why wouldn't he get stopped by Tyson very early.. It's simple
btw an average chin doesn't get knocked down over 20 times... that goes without saying i think

Yeah... How else are you supposed to say if he's stronger or not.. Just compare to pictures of Dempsey and Tyson

To me it's pretty obvious who's stronger.. Tyson also has something like 20 pounds on Dempsey.. in muscle. So I don't really know what to think if Tyson isn't stronger

Please show me where I said Tyson wouldn´t stop him early.
Patterson got knocked down often because he had a stage freight and because his style made him prone to beeing knocked down. He often was off-balance when leading with hit left hook and his opponents capitalized on it. Beeing knocked down can have many reasons not related to chin issues.
So, getting KOed by a Top15 p4p puncher twice and once by a Top100 p4p puncher of all time makes you having a glass chin? But getting stopped by someone like Buster Douglas doesn´t? Double standard much?

:rofl yeah, I define strength by how muscular someone looks.
    How old are you?

that is a better picture. Tyson is much better defined in his core and pecs.

stage freight  what an excuse
I consider being stopped like that equals a bad chin, yes. Ingo knocked him down COUNTLESS times in their three bouts, and Liston humiliated him in one round.

I'll admit that how cut someone is psychically doesn't always equal more strength, but to me I definitely think Tyson is stronger.. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this. a 217 fighter compared to a 185 fighter. And they are both ripped. So I'm going to assume that the 217 fighter has more muscle and therefore is stronger.
How would you measure strength, since you're going to dismiss my method?

Not an excuse, that was reported by Boxing Illustrated back then and is supported by the fact that he was never knocked down past the 4th round.
So, two atg punchers knocked him down and out. Big shame. A bum knocked Tyson down and out. Does he have a glass chin? Double standards ...

Watch Dempsey handling Firpo, Willard in close and the likes who outweighed Dempsey by a considerable amount. And than watch Tyson in-close with guys who outweigh him by the same amount. Look at their work there. Pretty clear that Dempsey does better.

That's because Tyson rarely did anything up close. His game was midrange

actually Dempsey looks stronger in that photo

His right bicep is so big it looks like its photoshopped in.

Tyson had nowhere near the equivalent of physical development as Dempsey growing up from what I have read.

They both had natural strength, but while Tyson was forced to be a criminal due to his environment, Dempsey was doing physical labor, every day. As a kid.

And although Tyson is the better heavyweight, I think Patterson has put more people out cold than Tyson.

    Not just KO...but out cold.
