Pac-Margo: Will Margarito make it past the sixth round?

It's a simple question with a simple answer.

The reason I'm asking is because, while having a debate with a Pac-fan friend of mine, he declared, "Margarito won't make it out of the sixth". I retorted, "Don't be an idiot: Of course he will". He challenged, "50 notes says he won't". My riposte: "You're on. (Sucker.)".

[Clarification: If Margo wins inside six, I still win. His claim is that Pac will beat Margo before the seventh.]

So, very simply: Am I out of pocket, or is he? Will Margarito see the seventh?

 

hell yea he will, I doubt he will win the fight but it will go past the 6th

My thoughts as well. Can't really see him winning, but Shane had to beat on his face for about three straight rounds to stop him.

If Pac stops him inside six, I'll be pretty damn impressed. (As well as fifty notes down ...)

 

If Margarito loses esp. by KO, that itself will answer a lot of questions And if Manny KO's Margarito esp. at 150, that will also lead into more questions:good

 

Margo has one of the best chins in boxing. It took Mosley (a significantly hard puncher than Pac) 8 rounds of landing at will on Margo to KO him. And the thing was, Mosley was sitting on his punches and putting his whole body into them. Pac isn't going to be doing that because he's going to be focused on getting in, landing, and then getting away without trading and therefor will not be able to put his whole body into his punches the way Mosley was able to. So I'm almost positive you just won "50 notes."

all this "mosley hits significantly harder than pac" is compete garbage. ask cotto who hits harder. i guarantee you pac hits harder than mosley at this point in his career.

I have £300 on pac to win on points. I read a piece where roach said manny might break marg down by round 8-9, well I certainly hope not and want it to go the distance.

So yeah lasting 6 rounds, shouldnt be a big ask.

 

Margarito ain't sh*t without the plaster of paris. Margarito went a full twelve rounds with a level-c fighter and the guy didn't have a mark on him after the fight. Think about it.

 

I think Marg will go down but not out, unexpected unseen shots will put down a fighter regardless of chin, BUT they get back up.

Is there a 3 knockdown rule in effect for this fight?

If so, it's a possibility Marg could loose by TKO, otherwise he's in for a 12 round beating.
