I'd say it was pretty disgraceful, him not going out on his shield and not give out a good show to the paying public. That said, just because Clottey disgraced himself with a poor showing, it shows why he was less effective against Pacquiao than he was against Margarito and Cotto. Pacquiao hits harder and is faster, like a blur. That said, would Pacquiao hitting harder be good enough to dent Margarito's chin? Would Margarito's power be good enough to beat Pacquiao? Clottey never fought Shane so he can't compare those him with Pacquiao instead.
I'll admit his performance was somewhat disapointing but at the end of the day he's a professional fighter who earned the right to fight in front of a huge crowd against one of the best fighters of this generation.
