Not sure when this happened. Just happened to come across it on youtube as I was browsing for boxing matches to watch. Your thoughts on this? Who would win?

Didn't realize it was old. First time I had seen it.

 

Isn't techincally the UFC mate, It happened in the old Pride and nothing came of it. Although Zuffa bought over Pride and they do own the UFC. Always found it quite interesting and a prime tyson would have killed Bob Sapp in my opinion.

 

Bob Sapp is a joke anyway, saw one fight i thought it was against crocop and he got like a small kick and went down crying like a *****. Made me think what prime Mike would do to him, he would hit that fool out of the ring.

 

Saw this ages ago, that Tyson would have struggled against Sapp to be honest, especially at UFC

Sapp has an incredibly low punch resistance for such a huge blownup guy, don't think Tyson would have had much trouble at all with this guy.

 

ive seen bob sapp's fights and he ****ing sucks!! He gets tired after two mins in the ring. Even an old Tyson would have knocked him out

 

I agree, Fun to watch tho.

 

I dont know, he took a good pounding against Hoost and continued to attack. Prime Sapp COULD be a danger to Tyson just as he was a danger to Hoost.

Id really like to think that Tyson would win this via brutal KO in the first round though..........but you never know if its under MMA rules. Afterall Sapp is allot more adept at kickboxing and with grappling.

That wasn't PRIDE. It was after Sapps bout with Kimo in the K1.
There was talk of Tyson coming to the K1 some years back. But they were nothing more than rumours and promotional hype.
You should watch Sapp's fight before hand with Kimo. He was getting his ass handed to him and won illegally if you ask me.
As for Tyson Sapp. Forget about it. Under Queensbury rules Tyson would have pulverised him.

 

Even under K1 rules Tyson would have destroyed him. Remember what CC did to Sapp in the K1? Soon as Sapp tasted CC's power he crumbled like a big girl. Granted he had a broken orbital but many fighters have fought with broken Orbitals.
Sapp was an interesting prospect in his early days in PRIDE and the K1. But he was a sideshow that was soon figured out.
