Boxing books - suggestions

At times it's great, at other times its embarrassing fawning and hero-glorification.

I just saw a bio of Peter Maher on the local bookstore shelf by Matt Donnellon. Anyone read this?

 

i've had a couple by harry mullan that were good.

 

books i've got to get are about jackie turpin and sonny liston

 

Night Train(Liston) by Nick Tosche is not a bad read.

 

is there a book about jackie ?

its called battling jack.you could well be, i'll have a look when i get it.
i also want a dvd about sugar ray called pound for pound.neither of us are in that.

It's not a particularly good read, either. Especially if you already have a passing knowledge of the subject.
