Thats what i said all along, Holyfield fought the perfect fight for that Tyson however early 90s was a totally different Tyson and a totally different Holyfield

the thing with Holy is that he would be game and wouldn't crumble like many opponents did vs Tyson.

Obviously he never meant it. Muhammad just said it to build up the drama of the fight. Not that he needed to.

Of course he would be game.

I feel pre prison it would have gone to the scorecards, i cant see either guy knocking the other out.

Yup..young Mike Tysom was something else..I've alwayz mantained that..there is no fighter in history that would have an easy fight against a
young and motivated Mike Tyson..esp the Michael Spinks-sque version.

Not even The Greatest would dominate that Mike Tyson..the 1964 title winning version of Ali would probably outbox Mike..but anybody else,I dont think so.Mike simply had too many physical gifts...and bad-intension-intensity.

His peak was simplt too short..Too much drama n his life.

Could you imagine if Mike had the ethic dedication of..say..a Marvin Hagler?Mike would have been the 2nd Graetest HW of-all-time..Only because of Ali"s resume'..No way Mike matches that.

    Too bad.:thumbsup

I got an interesting question for you
If Tyson had stayed on track and went on to beat Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis, Bowe, Mercer, Tua, Morrison, Moorer, Briggs and Foreman......could you then say Tyson is the GOAT and his resume is just as good as Alis? just wondering

I know, but u try telling that to soem people, their hatred for Tyson blinds any logic or sense.

Holyfield in 1991-2 would not have been able to outmuscle Tyson like he did in 1996 (because he was smaller then and not taking ****ing steroids) and he would not have had the Brawls and experience from the Moorer/Bowe fights.

Tyson would have run him down just like Spinks but maybe a few rounds longer.

Same with Bowe, Bowe got hit too much and against Tyson all it takes is a few good punches and Bowe would be on ***** street.

Lewis was way to green for Tyson during 199-2, It would ahve looked like Tyson Vs Biggs, Tyson schooling a baby.

But some nuthuggers say any version of Lewis beats any version of Tyson.

I honestly believe Tyson vs Holyfield in 91 would have ended on points
