Now that he's an 8-weight champ, is it time to start thinking of Pac as a top 20 ATG?

I thought his performance tonight was just mind-blowing, considering the disadvantages he faced.

Thoughts on Manny's ATG ranking now? :bbb

i dont know where he is and don't care. he's a great fighter and a blast to watch.

i think he should go back to 147 and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Poppy, come on this doesn't put a dent in his ranking. It's almost the equivalence to the Clottey win. This was a pretty solid performance, but it played out the way you should've thought. In fact, this was basically the way you predicted the fight to happen. So let's not try to diminish that truth. I'd say Pac is in the 15-30 range but this win doesn't do that much for me just like the Clottey win. It might help him jump over 1 fighter or something, but this 8 weight class world champion doesn't feel genuine for me.

This win is just an icing in the cake of his greatness. IMO, he's in top 5.

He's 15-35; non-linear titles from phony alphabet sanctioning bodies twice at catchweights don't have much to do with how great of a fighter he is. The 8 division thing is cool, but kind of meaningless and when you get technical the least of Pacquiao's talent & accomplishments. It's who he beat and how.

I've no idea Popkins. You'd be much better at placing him than me after you posted your 100 favourite fights from the 90'a and 2000's. However I can very much say I've not enjoyed a fight like that for quite a while despite its one-sidedness. Pacquiao displayed his greatness, Margarito displayed his iron will. A thoroughly enjoyable event, I just hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
