Regardless of what our kababayan Pac says, as a boxing fan, do you really consider this his hardest fight considering the fact that he won every round? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.
i think his fight w/ cotto was harder. pac took more punishment in that fight. aside from that body punch in the 6th (or was it the 8th), pac's face was virtually unmarked unlike in the cotto fight where he even had a busted eardrum drained. and i recall pac always says that his latest fight is his hardest. margo was certainly his biggest opponent in size [165 vs. 148]. but pac had more difficult fights in terms of actual results and competition.
it's the most difficult psychologically. He's a congressman now, doesn't need to hurt himself boxing, has his legacy in boxing and all that. He's getting hurt in wars he no longer needs. He won every round sure but still got hurt. If he's seriously considering retirement, it should be respected by fan and hater alike. Twas good while it lasted.
In terms of damaged done, this is the hardest Just look at his interviews, his shoulder is greatly in pain and he canceled his concert tonight!
Physical size does matter. I'm certain Pacquiao was feeling even the shots Margarito was landing on his arms and shoulders, Asero is claiming Pacquiao suffered an injured shoulder. Pacquiao's frame is small, and he is getting hit by a figher much bigger than his is and who by many accounts a very heavy handed fighter. Evander Holyfield said of the much heavier George Foreman, the shots he landed even on my arms hurt like hell.
It was his hardest fight in a very long time. Hardest not because it presented the greatest technical or tactical challenges or because it was the closest, but hardest because it was the toughest and most gruelling.
Immediately after the fight he told Max Kellerman he had no plans to retire and would fight whoever his promoter decides next.
Postfight Press Conference Report: Pacman Calls This His "Hardest" Fight http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxi...erence-report-pacman-calls-his-hardest-fight/
It is what it is. Boxing is not a walk in the park, and you gotta work. Margarito made Pac earn his 20 million. I didn't see no crying either.
yeah. giving up 17 lbs in size may already be too much for pac. with cotto, the size difference was 9 lbs while with clottey it was about 11 lbs.
In terms of suffering pain, I tend to agree w/ you. I guess my interpretation of hardest is when the outcome of a fight is a toss up. i respect your opinion, bro.
He thought Manny won every round but one. He was asked about Manny vs Sugar Ray Leonard. Freddie said he thought Manny would have the power edge. ...No.
Pacquaio was hurt quite a few times in this fight, in the 6th but there was another later round too, Marg landed some quite big heavy punches though, some good uppercuts I thought shook Pac, that hurts from a big man
