He didn't lose the fight (we all knew that he would win), but he lost the casual (non-Pinoy) boxing fan. Nobody cared. Leading up to this fight I heard very little buzz outside of boxing forums and web sites. I don't know anyone that watched or talked about 24/7. I didn't hear anyone at work asking, "Hey are you getting the fight?" or "Where are you watching the fight?" There was more buzz about college football this weekend than this supposedly legendary, and history making fight. We are constantly served this David vs. Goliath crap, where Manny beats the hell out of a bigger, yet flat footed, come forward, no defense, Top Rank fighter. When will Bob Arum realize that the people want to see Manny fight someone with skill, not size. Had Manny obliterated Margarito like he did Hatton, the momentum would have continued. But another boring decision against a clearly over-matched fighter does not resonate with the casual fan. This was a 2.0 on the Richter scale, whereas Floyd/Mosley was at least a 7.0. The Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez fight had 10 times the hype and build up of this crappy Pacquiao fight! Manny, Arum, we get it. Pac's small, but nobody expects him to lose against the guys you have him facing. Give him a PW fight, JMM, or even a Mosley fight. Send his ass back down to Jr. Welter to face some of those guys. I guess we'll see when the PPV numbers come back.
No one cares and how many people were at Cowboys Stadium? The bar I was at was packed. And save the Mexicans, everyone was cheering for Pacquiao. Margarito has skill, it's been demonstrated over his career, unless you're a delusional poster that thinks there's only one good boxer in the world. That was the best boxing match I saw easily this year. Margarito came out and was game and had an iron chin. He just lost to a better boxer.

he actually didnt i know beause i was chatting to a few casual fans who watched the fight last night and they say the opposite like that fight was ****ing awesome thats the type of fight worth paying for pacquioa was a beast ect ect they genuwinely enjoyed the fight and because there not hardcore nuts who are addicted to the fght game they dont know any better they buy all the bul**** marketing and promoting so they dont know anybetter and ufortunatley the majority of the casual sporting public are those type of people. if anything this fight just boosts many's standing in the sports world
