Marg is slow as hell but seemed to catch Manny quite a few times not to mention hurting him in the mid rounds. I was surprised with this. Has pac actually lost a step? No other recent fighters were able to land like that versus Pac and they were all faster than Marg.
i really don't think he did. while watching the fight, it looked like margarito was able to land a bunch when pac was on the ropes, but then when you watched the replays in slow motion, it was clear that pac was either blocking or out of the way of 90% of the shots. it really seemed like the only times margarito was able to land is when pacquiao went stationary and let him land.
Isn't it obvious? Because Pacman was willing to engage in a war. When you do that, you get hit. Pacman is a warrior. He could've fought a safe fight and pot shot all fight long but he knows fans don't like that.
It was simple....PAC WANTED to trade and stand toe to toe with a bigger fighter A LOT more than he should have. Given he throws so much and Marg was willing to trade PAC sometimes got tagged. But most to of the time Marg couldn't land flush b/c of PAC's movement and offesne being thrown back at Marg.
all the connected punches were from Margo trying to push manny to the ropes and when he was at the ropes connecting body shots... also a lot of the landed punches where more on the body.
This.. Pacquiao could have circled Margo all night and peppered him but if you understand Tagalog, Buboy was cursing at Pac and begging him to not get stupid and try to trade. But heres why Pacquaio is a living legend: First he wanted to do this to give fans an exciting fight, hes a natural and he cant help himself Secondly, even when they traded, Pac got the best of Margo.
He's alot bigger. Longer reach. Also, he can take Pac's punches easier, which allows him to just walk in and hit. He doesn't have to be as careful. Size is more than just hitting harder. There are alot of advantages that come along with size. Why do you think JMM landed fewer punches on Floyd than Hatton did? Even though JMM went more rounds.

Margarito is relentless. He may be slow, but he throws combos all the time and he doesn't care about where they land, so he will always land punches.
