If you were the ref, would you have stopped the fight last night? I think Cole is one of the worst refs out there.

Yes, I would. I wouldn't have let Margarito start round 11.

I wouldn't have. Margo was losing badly, but he was still game. Although, it wouldn't have taken much to stop it. If his eye had swollen up any more, I would've pulled the plug.

As a trainer no. As a ref yes.

If it was up to me, I'd let it go on for another 12.

(Wait that was a bit harsh)

I agree with Roach. His corner was stupid for letting him continue recieving punishment.

I really wouldnt have. I would have let it go on and on and on and on and on, ignore the towel, and then on some more for another 15 rounds.

Well said. I think the ref did a pretty good job checking repeatedly to make sure Margarito could see, not just by asking him if he could see, but by making him tell how many fingers he was holding up.

Margarito was still coming forward and throwing punches. Throwing back in exchanges and backing Pacquiao up.

If Pacquiao would have come at Margarito full-force in the 12th instead of hanging back and letting Margarito finish the fight, there's a very good chance he could have made Cole stop the fight.

I reckon the ref wanted to step in but Margarito was showing too much life for him to pull the plug, id of probably stopped it but warriors are good at hiding just how ****ed up they are.

Hell no. Cole - and Garcia - did the right thing in letting the fight go to its natural conclusion, and allowing Margarito his chance to score that come-from-behind KO.

Margo like him or not is a very proud man. Stopping the fight was going to do him more damage on long term than the 2 rounds.

Firstly the referee should have called a halt to the bout at the end of the 10th and secondly if he didnt then Margaritos corner should have , its that simple , we had the same debacle with Cotto , when the **** are people gonna learn !!! ???

Finally it's more the responsibility of the ref for me. Garcia knows how badly stopping the fight will hurt Margo's pride so he was never going to do it. The ref has nothing to lose he should have stopped it.

edit: Don't get angry I also don't want to see brain damage fighters. It pains me to see guys like Ali and Meldric Taylor now. But you should consider that this is Margo and that the corner is never going to stop it
