I'm not even going to pretend like this fight is easy to predict.

A bridge too far IMO for Pac, Martinez UD in a competitive fight. Unless 154 is too low for Martinez?

But I'd love to see Pac try and there'd be no shame in him losing. Especially if Maravilla beats P.Will.

Still, you never really know with Pac do you?

I don't think there's much point to the fight, it wouldn't add to his legacy unless he's crazy enough to try it at MW.

I'd like to see Pac get a fight with PBF or just retire to focus on his political career.

It wouldn't add to his legacy to beat another world champion? How would it not add to his legacy?

martrinez couldn't make 154 lbs and without *****s saying he'd be weight drained lol. Pac wouldn't make 154 either even if he tries

Pac will lose this one, pretty one sided I think. He may even get stopped. Martinez is too big for Pac and although not as fast as Pac, will be fast enough. Pac should just go back to 140 and clean up...but that might ruin those guys' future.

Martinez at 154 isn't seen as more of a threat than say, JMM at 135 or Cotto at 147. It would be a good, quality win but not something really significant in the long term, unless Martinez goes on to have a super HOF type career of course.

Martinez got 75" to Pac's 67". This is even longer than Margo's 73" and Martinez height is the same as Margo.

In paper, this is too much of a mountain to climb. Pac can make it interesting if he will not try to appease his fans by going to the rope, going toe-to-toe, or allowing himself to get hit. If he fights the way he fought De La Hoya, he got a chance.

pointless, too risky. Martinez is too big. Mayweather fight is all that matters. If not that, settle the score with Marquez and retire.

Martinez is a slick, fast boxer with good footwork and an awkward style. Not a face-first come-ahead brawler like Margarito. Plus he carries enough pop to have knocked out Kermit Cintron and beaten him by decision in the same fight while only coming away with a travesty of a draw. He knocked down Paul Williams (the knockdown was much more convincing than Williams' knock down of Martinez, which was more of Martinez being off balance and Williams catching him) who has an excellent chin.

Margarito presents very little head movement and will stand in front of an opponent and trade. This played right into Pacquiao's hands, which allowed him to put those blazing fast 4-6 punch combinations through and around Margarito's guard, neutralizing the man's size advantage. Martinez has the same, if not more of, a size advantage than Margarito, and is much faster and much more technically skilled.

This is a bad fight for Pacquiao. A much better stylistic proposition at 154 would be Angulo, who has outstanding power, but is not nearly the nightmare of reach and slickness that Martinez is and doesn't possess near the handspeed. He's a bulldog, which Pacquiao is much more able to deal with. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Pacquiao would handle Angulo - just that it would be preferrable, stylistically. Pacquiao's speed and footwork give him much more of an advantage over swarmer/puncher Angulo than boxer Maravilla.

Is not only Martinez size, but his skill as well that would be a big problem for Pac, Martinez selects his shots and won't be wasting additional energy unlike a swing and miss margorito.

People keep commenting on Margo size but fail to address how predictable and easily seen margo punches were. They were so wide Pac could move in and out at will. People with speed i.e Pac, Mayweather are able to telegraph these punches quite easily, while others such as clottey, cotto can't.
