If you saw an average guy on the street with half the facial injuries margarito had they would be told to go to hospital straight away.

Yet he was still choose/allowed to fight thinking about it now, it should of been stopped as soon as the ref started putting his fingers up to test margarito's vision.

It makes you respect any one that gets in the ring true warriors
    Hope he gets well soon

Apparently after the fourth round he was having double vision, which simply means that he fractured his eye socket already, trapping the extraocular muscles causing double vision. If PAC targeted that part repititively, he could cause permanent damageto that muscle.

So much for the argument that Mosley gave a more thorough beating. PAC gave a more prolonged beating, with more punches connected plus almost majority were head shots. He might have pugilist dementia in a distant future and then there is no need to mimic Roach. God forbid.

He might not be the same fighter after he recovers 100% from his surgery (on tuesday).

    Hope he makes it through.

I feel bad for Margarito ... and my mind tells me that I shouldn't , that he deserved it... because his use of plaster in the past... but I still feel bad for him. Plaster or not, Margo is a great fighter and has more heart than 99% of the fighters out there.

    Margarito has real heart.

I always say this, but its so easy to take punches in a boxing ring and do nothing in return. Thats why its laughable seeing people talk about someone showing heart in place of punch resistance (Briggs verse Vitali). It takes absolute mental strength to keep throwing when you are receiving a beating like Margarito was.

He kept trying and throwing all fight even though he was assured to get hit with huge stiff counters each time, thats real heart, its more than just being born with the right genetics.

I was savoring the moment of Margo taking a beatdown of epic proportions and was thinking this was a 12-rd sentence for his cheating and childishly pathetic antics mocking Roach. It was justice--poetic and savory. Reading later that he had to be hospitalized and had to be operated on for the orbital fracture made me feel sorry for him and pity began to creep in. There was now a tinge of bitter in all the sweet justice i felt...

Manny's mercy in the midst of it all stood out so glaringly--a noble and dignified warrior whose beastly fighting spirit is only tempered by a humane and magnanimous heart. A character which is an apt yet miniscule reflection of God's graciousness in the midst of His all-consuming wrathful indignation..
