After seeing george groves lose his head and get dragged into a brawl quite easily, not to mention the dodgy-looking chin, i have to say I think Paul Smith would beat him to a pulp! Quigley and Dodson where disciplined enough not to trade with smigga. I dont think groves would show such self-control!

Andersons shots didnt look at all good to be honest! No venom at all, yet groves was on his arse. He didnt help himself swinging his face into every single one though did he? George Groves showed last night that he isnt experienced enough for a British title shot just yet!!

Hate to say it but mr vagina do not hurt my feelings or give me any criticism Smith would be my pick to win right now after seeing the Groves fight on Saturday.

I rate Groves highly. He got decked, got up made the adjustments and stopped the other guy who happened to be undefeated as well and was a live one. He is facing a top and dangerous level of opposition on the way up which is to be commended. I think this is a future champion in the making.

It's amazing how quickly people throw fighters under the bus. Glad that you're being sensible here, Olu. He made some mistakes, paid the price and didn't do it again.

Then stopped his opponent. Better it happens now than when he fights for a 'world' title.

I really think Groves is a special talent. I don't like top prospects just been given canno fodder. They need to be tested on the way like David Haye has been. The tough tussles on the way up the like of Haye, Honeyghan etc had prepare them for the higher levels.

For my money Groves is a better bet than DeGale. I like his attitude as well. Clearly prepared to take tough fights.

    Bang on the button...

As soon as somebody has a tough time in the ring, or has a bad fight, that's it their career is over.

Groves had a bad fight, a tough time but turned it around and stopped his opponent, what more can you ask of him?

George gorves showed that night that any fighter who has the balls to go face to face will rip his heart out and show it to him.

your wrong actually. anderson was absolutely ****ed and thats why he got stopped. he was in bad condition for the fight and couldnt do nothing after the 4th round. if anderson was fitter then he would have kept the heat on groves. the ref stopped it not because groves was hurting him, but because anderson had nothing in the tank. groves shots didnt harm anderson much but andersons pushed through, venomless shots where hurting groves. i really wanted groves to smash him up but i was dissapointed with his performance overall. he was lucky anderson was in such bad condition. also, groves dosnt get close enough for his shots to have a massive effect. I really dont understand how people say groves is a special talent!!

anyways, im talking about how easy groves was pulled into a brawl. if he brawls with smith, smith will KILL him!!!!

I wish Darren Mcdermott was still fighting he would have stopped this kid with the jab.

That's a remarkable rewriting of the fight. Perhaps the reason Anderson was ****ed was Groves' bodyshots throughout the fight?

Soon as he landed them in the sixth the fight went out of Kenny. He backed off, Groves came after him with more and Kenny stopped throwing.

The ref didn't stop it because he was tired. He did it because he'd stopped fighting back.

but you could see it from the 4th onwards he was draining. those bodyshots werent good bodyshots. they where too far away to hurt him badly.

No doubt about it, groves is talented. he is fast and skillfull but i think hayemaker are rushing him. he showed extreme lack of experience last night and it was a good learning experience for him. if he works on his defence and footwork getting in closer and back out again then he will be a fantastic fighter, but hes nowhere near British Champion level yet imo.
