Manny is remarkable, everytime he fights above his natural weight pundits point out reasons why his opponet could pose him problems but everytime he proves the theory wrong. I thought margo would get tattooed on the outside as he did but thought he could be too powerful once he managed to pin pac down, but manny traded with the much much bigger man and stopped margo in his tracks several times, awesome!

Watching Manny is always a pleasure. He has great movement, punches properly, throws fast and hard in combination, never lets his opponent get the initiative and, best of all, when he gets tagged - he comes right back.

I don't see how anyone could dislike him. He had the movement to basically make Margarito miss all night and he didn't do that. He traded with the guy, beat the hell out of him, and make him look like an amateur.

Great performance from a great fighter.

To be a real champ at 154 he needs to see Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez....at 154!

Been goin on for years. SRL won the LH belt but never fought anywhere close to the weight. They dragged Lalonde down to 12 stone if i remember.
Cant take nothin away from what was a unbelievable performance once again from Pac. Speed, unbelievable accuracy, with power and movement. Never seen anything like him. The mans a ****in machine.

Pac is great and the display was godly. Apart from Mayweather it is hard to find a suitable opponent even at light middle.

Did anybody read Ryan Rhodes bit in boxing news last week saying it should be him in the fight and not Margarito.....totally deluded.

The best way to think about it is to forget about the sham belt. If you do that then he was just taking another top Welter, but because Margarito was so big a Welter, he gave him another 3 pounds. If you look at it that way, it's fairly impressive.

Pac has a few paper titles in his multi weight division success. But thats the way modern boxing is, you just have to takeacloser look at each belt. Also unifiying in 8 weightclasses is impossible.

Beating Margarito after coming up from flyweight is an great acheivement.

It annoys me more when he doesnt get credit for the featherwight title after he beat Barrera.

Belts mean ****ING NOTHING! ZILCH! ZERO! DIDDLY SQUAT!!!! GET IT INTO YOUR ****ING HEAD!!!!

However, Pac took on a much larger and fairly dangerous opponent, and yet another opponent that Floyd didn't fight.

Nowadays it's all about the opposition; Pac has quality wins, and some which he had a lot going against him. He is an ATG, though '8 weight World champ' is just marketing jargon. I'd say he was the 'best' at feather, light welter and welter. JMM pushed him close at 130 (I had it 115-112 for Marquez, no shame, thats what happens when you fight the best) and he's been scoring the kind of whitewashes people praise Floyd for by fighting, not running.

No one is the 154 champ anyway at the moment. None of the belt-holders or top guys have fought each other.
