What's the big freaking deal with these belts anyways? people just want to see great fights...speed vs size...power vs. skills and all that good stuff. If pac (just pure if) somehow beats the Klits bros at heavyweight div, wouldn't you call him the heavyweight champ of the world?
Neither of these should have been near a 154lb title anyway, especially matched together. That preceeded the weight issue. Who cares though...titles are almost an irrelevance where Pac is concerned now he´s won so many.
As a Crusierweight who's moved up to heavy and beat some top 10 contenders rather than a 2 weight world champ.
"a great achievement" is an understatement. He's the best fighter I have ever seen. He battered a much bigger, stronger fighter who many have avoided. He has also proved myself and many others wrong on a number of occasions when he has stepped up another level and made it look so easy. Enjoy him now, you won't see another flyweight do what he has done ever again. A legend of a fighter.
Catchweights,titles today dont really matter , what did matter was we had the chance to see a legend in the making at or near his prime,enjoy him while he fights,I certainly did,boxers like him come along once in a generation.lm not his greatest fan(Larry Holmes was better:deal) but I think I know and can appreciate greatness when I see it........
I hate the catchweights as well. If Pac wants to weigh in halfway through a weightclass, then so be it. But the opponent should be able to come at the usual limits. Everyone who is praising him for beating bigger opposition, how he is willing to trade, to go for the win every time should ask themselves why they insist on the catchweights? He must be gaining some advantage from it, otherwise he wouldn't want them. Just another angle on the situation.
I am sick of listening to **** from people like you who despite witnessing an all time great batter a man so much bigger than him, continue to find fault about something. Most of Ray Leonard's important fights were fought at a catchweight so where is your thread on him. Seriously, it gets boring after a while.
