So what? Mike Jones hasn't done much himself, he's nothing more than a prospect that stepped up for the first time against Soto-Karas and struggled a bit. Bruseles could be argued as a good scalp but he's been extremely inactive. Hardly a earth shattering claim really.

That said I wouldn't back Brook against anybody that can pressure him because I believe his power is not too great, and he has so many flaws that without power he's going to struggle going backwards.

finally some sanity he has no footwork and his combination punching is non-existent, he also has a non-existent defence, jones has a solid chin so does krass both guys would wipe him out, unlike a fair few on here i actually speak with objectivity and level headedness i think brook may have a shot at jean zavreck as he seems to be getting on a bit, but if zavreck lands it would be interesting to see how brook responds

Kell Brook is young, give him time, u never know he might turn out to be something special when hes in his prime, but as of now the "ill knock pacquiao out" is cringeworthy taking into account his last performance. I just hope he doesnt con the public fighting bums and gets embarrased when he finally steps up competition.

Brook is just a typical Frank Warren fighter. At some point he'll get comfortable and wont care anymore. As long as Warren can keep selling him as the second coming of Naz he'll be fine. Apart from may be looks he's nothing like him in the slightest.

No Mate, he's 24 Sky hypes him to be the new poster boy of brit boxing, he claims that he's going to send shockwaves across the world by beating up a fighter who spent his whole career at lightweight and only fought once at lww how ridiculous is this, Khan was getting lambasted for fighting men such as Michael Gomez and company and here you have a full blown Welterweight claiming to be worthy of a world title shot and defending that claim against what can be best described as a high end club fighter whos best days were at lightweight and only fought once at lww but never above that.

I actually quite like Kell (his last performance was shite tho).

Jones will be a big step up, but don't forget he didn't look too good on Saturday either.

A fight between two hypejobs? I hope not as I actually like him. But only time will tell

Only by a few who have an agenda mate, you have to understand a prospect has to be built up, if all the ATG's were thrown into the lion's den at 21 yrs of age, they would not be known as ATG's.

Not read any further than the 1st post due to time limitations but 18 KO's from 40 wins is nearly a 50% KO ratio........thats no bad. Khan was facing guys with much less of a percentage.

I don't rate Brook at all. Half decent domestic fighter at best.

Domestic welterweight scene is hardly swarming with big hitters now is it?

He'll be tested next year and he has a good chance of success considering the lack in depth on the WW scene at the moment. Jones looked pretty bad last week and seems to be a bit of an idiot in the ring after gassing himself out after 2 rounds.

It'd be good to see him put a beating on Matt Hatton, but I suppose that can wait until they are both World champs. A true Brit superfight.
