Here we go again, selling yet another show. BTW a genius is not needed to know audley would cower and hide until he gets beat. If i remember correctly you mugged off our very own Rob Palmer and you said this fight makes sense both financially and for the casuals. You got one thing right haye and audley are laughing all the way to the bank and the casuals are throwing pelters at our beloved sport.

Steve i thought you were great on setanta boxing hour i really did. You told it as it was and was honest with both boxers and fans. Now you have cashed in and flutter your eyes at whoever will pay your next wage. Sell out is the term i believe.

Now to conclude on the matter, i predicted a one-sided blow out where haye could win whenever he chooses and my facebook said it, just the same as i said anderson v groves would be a barn-burner. Dont take us for mugs steve, we help to pay your bills remember :good

Here we go...I talked about this fight for weeks...I wanted to see a real fight but I NEVER promised a real fight (who do you people think I am? I can't conjure up slugfests!!!)...I called it an Event from Sept 7th (the same thing I called Tyson v Francis, Calzaghe v Manfredo etc)....I never said that Aud would KO Davido with a long left, that is what Aud said...don't give me that 'you have sold your soul' cobblers because I talked about the fight on the show...do you think I should have ignored it on the BBC shows?...don't be so stupid!
I talked about a massive fight which turned into a stinker. That is the bottom line.
Haye fights W.Klitschko next in April or May and he wins...get your money on now!

    Adios.

Sorry Buncey but I was never annoyed at you for saying it would be a good fight or that Audley deserves the shot. It was always about the fact this would be great for British boxing. I always said it would be the opposite and that came true. You must realise that now.

How many of the people that paid £15 felt they got value for money? How many of them watched the highlights of the GB Amateurs on sunday? How many of them will buy a ticket to a fight at the york hall or simular venue next year? How many kids watched it with there Dads and want to become boxers?

It was an embarrassing night for British Boxing. Audley takes the blame but its Haye and his camp along with Sky that should shoulder the blame.

You say Haye will fight the Klitsckos but he is not saying anything different to what he has before which is an awful lot of trash without backing it up. why should we believe there talk. 50-50 no options was offered and they flat refused.

Also stop bringing up guys like Peter Okohelo and and Carl Drummond because they deserved there chance as much if not more than Audley and gave more effort than Audley. Haye and Booth had the cheek to criticise the Klitsckos for fighting bums, if Rahman and Briggs are bums what the hell is Audley????

    This is Rob Palmer btw.

I think the problem with the casuals could be that for 15quid they'd be expecting more than 2 live fights for their money. The coverage on Sky mostly consisted of repeated segments from during the week and Nelson and Little Barry battling over weaknesses and strengths. Why didnt they show Hall vs Davies? I wandered what they would have shown if Groves/ Andersen was a first round knockout?

As for Buncey hyping, name somebody who didnt hype up this fight. He is the only one with a weekly boxing show in the UK at the moment (as far as i know). He got the fight wrong, and? I wonder what people would have said if Audley had got knocked out in the first round from the first punch thrown like the European Cruiserweight fight Haye had several years back? We all wanted Harrison to atleast swing something but he didnt, it was embarassing to watch but the ending did make up for it.

One of the worst things about the hyping was picking up several papers and reading numerous writers making all these guesses, assumptions and knocking boxing when I've never seen them write anything about boxing before.

Rob my mom always said 'people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones', this is typified when they also said the klits make their money fighting old fighters. Hayes last 3 opponents have been in their late 30's ffs. Never heard such utter bollocks,

Most of the people I've asked didn't even watch the Groves fight.

I certainly didn't buy into it Buddy. I can post 10 threads now that I have started on different websites condemning the fight starting from the day the rumours began to waft out of Haye's arsehole.

That's another problem with the it really, Sky were so focussed on their smash and grab with Audley and Haye that Groves v Anderson, an actual competitive fight with two lads who've got a big future in British boxing, was barely given a passing mention. If the potential names of tomorrow aren't given exposure on nights when every ****er and their dog watches then Sky are going to struggle next year when their golden ticket retires at the hands of a Klitschko and they're back to square one looking for someone else to flog. But as has been said, the words 'long term gain' don't seem to exist to them.
