I didn't even know where to start with this thread, but I have to agree with this post.

Even as one of Audleys biggest fans, PK surely there has to come a time when you look at Audleys past fights and results i.e. his 4 defeats and admit that he had no business being involved in a World Championship fight.

He had one fight in between winning Prizefighter and getting beat by David Haye.

Hardly a passable path to a World Title fight is it?

I'm all for the under-dog story, in fact I love being an under-dog myself. When I play 5-a-side and one doesn't turn up, I go on the side with a man down.

On reflection, Audley HAS gone up in my opinion due to his unwaivering belief in himself. To throw yourself into the lions den in the way he did deserves a little recognition from all of us.

IMHO he should really hang up his gloves now. He has a lovely looking wife and daughter. He should retire back to the States and enjoy his time with them. He has enough money, I expect, to do that. So he doesn't need boxing and I'm pretty certain boxing doesn't really need him.

You, Mr Kool just need someone to look up to who can fulfill their promise in the face of adversity, of which there are many.

On a serious note, what's going on with this **** about the board of control withholding Audley's money? That's a ****ing joke, he got in the ring and he was out of his depth, he still took punches. It's annoying the life out of me how everyone is on Haye's **** when he's the one who's taking a mismatch and hyping the **** outta it so that he makes a **** load of money. It's bad for boxing **** like that.

Haye said after the fight that the 'Klitschko's are fighting anonymous Americans while i'm fighting big names like Audley Harrisson', i used to be a Haye fan, i got my pic taken with him at the ECHO arena, but now he makes my blood boil, i hope Wladimir eats him whole the ****in snake *****.

Let him keep his money as long as he promises never to disgrace a boxing ring again.

I do find it very annoying when people like Rendall Munroe who actually earn a title shot and then travel halfway across the world then give his all for 12 rounds earn about 5-10% of what that useless twat got

Exactly. It's not like anyone who knows boxing expected anything else anyway. He was out of his depth and the fight should never have been made. If anyone needs punishing it's Haye's team for signing to fight a guy who was certain to take a big beating.

Yeah well if Audley promises never to disgrace a ring again then Haye should promise to never snake the sport and the fans again.

Yeah it would be nice of there was some form of regulation in boxing.

Point taken but if anyone didn't realise what was going to happen on Saturday then I cannot have any sympathy with them. I paid 15 quid to see Audley embarassed and humiliated. (And to watch the Groves fight)

If people bought the fight thinking that it was going to a contest then they know **** all about the sport, Remember this was the former undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world against a man who lost to a taxi driver. If people are stupid then that it not David Hayes fault.

The irony is, that the people who defend Haye, are the people he is taking advantage of with fights like this, due to their nationalism.

They will defend him fighting Harrison, essentially taking advantage of their support.

I don't think you can blame Haye or Haye's team. Sure, I want him to fight BOTH Klitschkos (not just old Vitali) but if you're offered 3 million to fight Chagaev or 8 million to fight Harrison - would you really decline to fight Harrison?

Blame SKY for demanding this fight and blame yourself for buying it. Blame the British "experts" (Lewis, Hatton, Bruno) who claimed that Harrison is a live dog.
SKY didn't want this fight because there was no serious opponent availabe; they prefered Audley to the K's!
