This fight is going to make Pac look like a superstar. Like i have said before i go by what i hear from my dads and his friends. We had a parties for fights all the time and we have never been this packed. My parents basement is the ultimate party basement. Table for cards. Pool table along with a 42" plasma with surroun sound and a living room which can seat 12 adults comfortably. We had about 20-30 people down there and upstairs the rest of the people and kids were watching the fight. In total i would say about 40 people over. people were sitting on the pool table, card table even floor at one point.

Man it was a hell of a night. When me and my bro picked up all the beer we had a full garbage disposal full of them. I swear we had to have over 500 beers there along with some grub. I feel thats what it would be like if a bunch of us ESBrs got together for a fight. Except more knowledgable. 99% of the people there were Mexican and once they saw Margarito along with the Mexican anthem they got ballsy with their betting. hundreds of dollars were being bet amongst themselves. I should have taken some of their bets but i felt bad since everyone was so intoxicated. I did Win 3-1 odds on my Pac by Decision pick on bodog though so i was cool.

Anyways to make my point. This fight will be a huge success. In my all white pro UFC town no white people ever rent boxing fights. My sisters were telling me of all these parties that were renting the fight. So if the small town rednecks rent it you know its big. Last time this happened was Mayweather-DLH.

Not strange at all did you try to buy any of the tickets? When they are peddling $60 stadium club seats for 180-$200 then of course numbers will be down. Not to mention the $50 for parking...

You have to look at the big picture...not just the numbers...

I agree it will be more than Clottey alot of casual fans that aren't up to speed to the handwrap thing were rooting for Margarito all the way.....

I was surprised not only on here, but with people I knew how many ordered the fight for Margarito.

It will pass Clottey Pac, easily

They probably look at the total revenue generated, I imagine that while it was not pay per view in the UK, there was revenue generated by UK networks, ie, marketing, advertising, commercials, etc. That is all taking into account and in averages.

Also BTW, it was my first time watching a bout via Sky vs. HBO I found the UK announcers to be much less fanboyish and unbiased...........in their view of the bout......
But then again, there were no UK fights in the bout, that can change if they are announcing for a guy that is in the home team.

That's good for Manny and good for boxing if true, but I'm gonna wait for the official numbers before drawing a conclusion.

When do official numbers come out?

For everyone's info, they had the same number in attendance as the Clottey fight, 42000.

****ing PPV numbers threads... Anyway, that's just a laughable statement right there. Margarito is MEXICAN, Einstein. He's WAAAY more more poplar than Clottey. Way.

975,000K but then the media favors arum/roach/pacman so they will say 1.3+ so mayweather wont have leverage on the next negotiation purse split.
