Roach " we can do Marquez , but it must be @147 " !!

WTF, there is no minimum weight Marquez can come in what ever he wants. This just ensures that Pacquiao can weigh in anywhere under 147 lbs.

 

This fight doesnt make any sense at 147, Manny could make 140 easily with no problems. It's all perfect timing Marquez is going to be in a war with Katsidis and if victorious rush to make the Manny fight.:rofl

 

Pac wouldn't get credit for beating JMM now, especially at 140/147

JMM is not getting any younger, he was 35 the last time they fought.

We saw what happened when they were close to their primes, JMM outboxed Manny both times, but for a great 1st rd in the 1st fight it was convincing from JMM.

He won both fights!

 

Roach will make Marquez weigh 147 naked if he fights Pac.

 

this is stupid for roach to even talk about, with his knowledge of boxing im sure he knows it will be unfair, and know marquez would accept because he has been wanting it for ever, .. it would be unfair to marquez even at 140 ,.. compare pac vs cotto to marquez vs diaz 2,..just 2 diffrent fighters now ..

 

I totally disagree with this. Pac looks identical now as he did against JMM in their second fight. He was a two fisted fighter then, but JMM knows how to take a step back to let Pac overextend himself, and then come back with his own counters.

Pac just made the mistake of fighting the best counterpuncher in the biz.

 

This fight should happen at 135 or 140.. IMO 140 suits the two since it might be a stretch if back cut down to 135..

at 135 it could be a UD for Pac
at 140 PAC KO him before 6

DLH laid the foundation for payday fight. If you can't bring money to the table you fight by the PPV/draw rule. He who can make money fighting anyone else beside's you makes the rule. You don't like it, step aside cause there is a line behind you.

JMM is the one chassing, has always been chassing, and will continue to chase after Pac.

Anything above 140 is just unfair in my opinion. Marquez is small at lightweight. Pacquiao has adapted to higher weights-good for him-but that doesn't mean the world needs to bend to his preferences of having breakfast, lunch, and dinner up to a fight. Just because he has the special ability doesn't mean the luxury is entitled. Having it above 140 would be making a potentially good fight unfair and spoil a series of classics while disrespecting one Marquez and diminishing Pac's credibility.

Sure, shut him up now at age 37 while Pacquiao has climbed several weight classes. Come on Roach.


I'd rather have Mayweather and let Pacquiao take care of his business in congress while JMM dominates lightweight with the integrity of the first two fights intact.

 

fight @ 144, jmm could come 135-144 just like pac to margarito. this time, we can see a clear winner and the bitching on either fans club will finally put to rest....hopefuly.....
