Its sad to say but it just can't happen. Pac can't drop down to a decent weight of 140 for Marquez. I can't believe I'm saying this but he's just too big for him. I actually think Pac could easily, EASILY, knock out Marquez in 7 or 8 rounds now too. He's evolved, the counter puncher he'll struggle with is Martinez or Mayweather, he's grew out of the lower weights.

Marquez should focus on Katsidis, and nothing more. That dude is special.

 

140 is not drained for pac....he could surely cut to 140 with a minimum effort since he just came in at 144.6 for a 150 limit fight

marquez fight is meaningless. its should have happened at 135 after pac beat diaz but ODLH came along and the rest was historymarquez has no chance aagainst Pac at 140-147. he'd only be looking for a last big payday and a career-ending beating. Maybe at 135, it could be a more meaningful fight but i doubt pac would want to move down that low

Agreed. JMM does nothing for Pac now, even if you take it to `135. He'd be deemed a grandfather (JMM) when he loses. Lose-lose situation for Pac. dont need to happen, imo. But it will surely shut up JMMs camp if it did.

If Pacquiao fights Marquez in 2011 at 147 lbs, that would be infinitely less impressive than Mayweather fighting him at 147 in 2009... being that that is one of Mayweather's three most scrutinized fights, that's saying something.

I think it's safe to say that EVERYONE would agree with that...
