Difference between MP and Shane vs Margarito

Pacquiao was able shut down his offense, and he did it beautifully. Mosley stopped Marg's aggression by tying him up and using his physical strength. Pac did it with great footwork and ring generalship with fast accurate slicing combinations

 

Yeah, the dynamics of the two fights were completely different. Mosley also weighed just as much as Margo on the night of the fight.

Mosley has the kind of power that will make you think twice about throwing and requires some time to recover from. Mosley was able to floor him in the 8th round and stop him in the 9th.

 

Mosley beat Maragarito coming off his biggest win. Pac beat Margarito that was off only having 2 fights in almost 2 years. Pac took Margarito with no problem and he gets a lot of credit but was he the same Margarito that box Shane?

 

A better question would be is if that Shane Mosley that beat Margarito could beat the Pacquiao of today?

Sugar Shane Mosley DESTROYED a Margarita who was coming off a (controversial) stoppage win over a then highly regarded Miguel Cotto.

There's a big difference in how they beat the same guy, but both got wins over him.

We could've had that, but Roach wouldn't even let Manny near a 140lb Mosley, who wanted that fight very badly after he whooped Margarita. Shane was willing to cut that much weight, in case people forgot.

 

Mosely also beat him imediately after he'd been caught cheating, hardly the ideal preperation for a fight.

 

Ummm....Margarito didn't land over 200 punches on Shane and almost floor him with a body shot.:huh

 

Shane is a bad style match up, Naszim will having Shane doing something no one has yet to think of, clinching and dirty boxing, i'm not saying Shane will win but he will do damage.

No, really. Mosley floored him in the 8th round. He also made marg touch the canvas in the 9th, prompting the ref to wave it off as a TKO.

 

Margarito went down on exhaustion. Margarito was also smiling sheepishly and embarrassed after the ref stopped the fight.

Margarito was not smiling after Pac destroyed him. Margarito's face was unrecognizable like some victim in a horror movie. Margarito was on a stretcher headed to the hospital.
