Why wouldn't he try and get him as low as he can? I would...

Well if Green thinks he is as good as he says then he should keep his extra $$$ and beat Flores at 200 where no one could criticise him. Thats why.

At the end of the day Flores chose to come it under 200lbs. It's on him. Green may have waved some cash under his nose, he didn't force him to come under the weight.

Why did Danny feel the need to wave cash at BJ. Surely not to drain/weaken him and gain an unfair advantage.

Why did BJ accept it? Maybe he should have told him to stick it? How's this scenario any different to Meldrick Taylor agreeing to face Terry Norris at 149lbs, apart from that Taylor was the challenger. Things like this have ALWAYS happened in boxing...

Yeah it has always happened. It shouldn't happen though. All weight limits should be adhered to and there should be no clauses in contract like this and recent Pacman fights. I realise this will continue to happen but as a boxing fan i hate it.

Violins please, Floser has become another victim of a shoddy Green Machine Promotion.
Expect to see Floser on Today Tonight for paid interview on how he was duped into losing wieght!!!

You've got me thinking now, but here are some more fights when similar scenarios have played out...

Ray Leonard v Danny LaLonde - Both fighters weigh in as Super Middles in a 168/175lbs title fight.

Leonard v Hearns II - Super Middleweight title fight contested way under the limit.

Same goes for Leonard v Duran III.

Carlos Zarate and Alfonso Zamora both met over the 118lbs limit.

Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez this weekend is at 158lbs.

Pavlik and Taylor II fought at 164lbs.

Trinidad v Jones Jnr at 170lbs

plus the obvious recent ones... I'm sure there's plenty if you sit down and think about it.

I think most of Jeffrey's fights can be added.

Tony Mundine vs Foster Bibron.... about 40lbs difference. Aust H/W title.
Dave Sands vs Alf Gallagher... Aust H/W title.
Carpentier vs Dempsey. World H/W title.
Robinson vs Maxim. World LH/W title.
Armstrong vs Garcia. World M/W title.
Countless others where fighters gave away weight to attempt the winning experience.

In the words of Francy17.. "It's not fair"...
