Did you see those stupid bitches at ringside squealing and pitter patter clapping like loonies when Haye was finishing Audley off? They weren't even looking at the ****ing action. Really made me sick. A few casual boxing fans have mentioned them to me as well, awful sight. It was the sort of fight that makes you feel an arsehole for loving boxing. Between those hypocrites at Sky and the Board of Control Audley will have a hard time hanging on to his money. He sold the fight more than Haye so I suppose he deserves his dosh.
Well, I felt sorry for Audley, and still do. Cos he's not a bad guy by the looks of things, and he talked about falling in love, having kids etc in the build up. He is not a fighter any more. Perhaps he never was, but people change a lot. BUT he got a lot of money for this. That's why he did it. People do far more undignified things just to put food on the table. Lets not go overboard here. Haye and Booth, likewise. Lots of money was made, that is their job/goal. They didn't want it until someone dreamt it up and validated it. So I guess the people who proposed it and sanctioned it are the ones to blame, and mostly, I suspect that was Sky. Haye and Booth stated in clear terms that they didn't want this fight but somebody changed their minds.
Totally agree. You could level these charges at Lewis for the rematch with mccall, but not with this.

I am so happy this fight went to pants up ppy buys were down 30-40% on what Sky expected :happy Proving that just maybe just maybe that the British Public and Boxing Public aren't a bunch of gullible monther****ers and for us to fork out in the millions they expected we need to expect a genuine decent product not just hope for a decent product. Also shame on Haye and shame on Booth they talked big throughout David's Career, they talked eloquently about fighting for legacy and passion not for money. They talked about having no interest in fights that that give them no kudos. They slagged off the Klitschko's for their poor opposition even having the cheek to call them out for this after the Harrison debacle. As promoters they said Boxing needs to put on better shows with better undercards, well their last 2 cards have stank of ****. So to Sky, Adam Booth and David Haye I say **** you, what has Boxing ever done to you.
We've all watched Audley, we all knew this was the outcome, he didn't dive, he didn't cheat, he just did what he always does. But against a FAR better fighter than he usually faces. It would be a disgrace if they withheld his cash. Absolute disgrace.

I agree, he definitely deserves every penny of his purse. Most people accept that this was a money making exercise more than a credible fight, nobody expected Audley to put up much of a fight so I don't see how deducting his purse is justified. He shouldn't be made the scapegoat.

The tragic truth is that the fight was made because big money was involved. Haye never once pretended that this would be anything other than a one sided beat down. He actually wanted Harrison to fight his best ever fight to make it competitive for the mugs that shelled out to watch the fight. Very well written article.
Audley does deserve some sympathy,as he has always belived he could be champ.It must be very hard for him now he has to face up to it that it will never happen.I just hope he retires.People should not boo a guy who has just been stopped cos he was hurt in a fight.Audley did not preform and the crowd felt let down by the show but in reality it was always going to end that way.

It's an article written to sum up a mood, and it has no need for evidence. Its expectation? To sum up what many people are feeling about the fight. That it was a clear mismatch, yes. That Audley had no place in a ring with Haye, aye. That Haye has no place in a ring with Audley - even more so. It's not as if he's going around looking to expose anyone or dig up any fresh evidence and he never claims to be doing so.
