hahah gimme a break... you watch all you want of Rigon, and claim its the sweet Science... ****ing joke... you realize when the Sweet Science was developed... there was no ROund limit, therefore pot shoting and running would never win you a fight.

The Guy isn't a warrior, and he probably wants his helmet and 16oz gloves back.

The Rigo apologists are getting pathetic, why not just admit that he had a boring fight and move on. I think that he can perform much better in future fights, maybe something was just off that night

I guess if Cordoba's a nobody, Caballero must be one step down since Cordoba beat him.

Well said, Rigo dominated a tricky fighter with a negative style over 12 rounds in his 7th pro fight. For an interim title! It's called boxing and Rigondeaux is a master. You could see Rigo was trying some different things in there, he even tried some inside work for a little while but I think he backed off abit because he doesn't have confidence in his conditioning for twelve rounds. Once he believes he can comfortably work hard for twelve rounds we are going to be seeing a dominant champ.

Rigondeaux landed 125 of 448 punches (28 percent) and Cordoba connected on 78 of 506 (15 percent), according to CompuBox.

Hit about 6.5 times a round: you are talking ****.

I was beyond pissed off watching the guy fight. He just seemed like he tried TOO hard to be perfect, that he wouldn't throw anything unless he was 100% sure it was going to land. Nor would he throw more than 1 punch at a time.

But it was only his 7th pro fight, and he fought a pretty good fighter and still won so for that he deserves a lot of credit.

Gamboa express....are you Rigo's manager or trainer? Are you a closed relative or adviser to speak with such certainty? Rigo has to prove that he's willing to risk and change his safe defensive style and make offensive strides. Today Luis De Cuba is talking nonsense about Rigo's fight...that in other time that fight would have been a great fight,etc...etc...that's nonsense of nonsenses...Rigo made a shameful fight that did not reflect the great expectation we all had. He is a champion and needed to come ready to fight and not to run like a track and field champion, instead. Rigondeaux better come up clean because not even we, cuban fans, will be supporting his future boxing career. There will be no money for him...so he better jump in there and fight....

That fight told us a few things:

Rigo is what he is, an amateur style boxer

    Rigo's chin is suspect

Rigo's amateur style gets even more boring if he gets touched

Rigo is still insanely talented and true boxing fans will keep watching for the HOPE of a change

    No more. No less.

Rigondeaux needs to learn how to use the jab. Cordoba was crude as hell. A good boxer humbles this guy. Rigo's natural ability reminds me of PBF, but he needs to be refined. He's going to be very good, but he's not there yet.

man, Cubans really love Cuban boxers and that seems to be the only fighters they like. just because I'm American doesn't mean I like every/only American boxers, but is it just me or does every Cuban poster only jock Cuban boxers??
