That's loser talk, we cubans don't need that ****. All he needs to do is adjust his style a little bit for the pro game. Peace.

There are just way too many casual fans that just don't appreciate that particular side of Boxing. Two Fighters standing in the middle of the ring throwing blindly at each other, that's what they think boxing is. I see can that same **** at 2AM outside a Bar in just about every major US City. But I thought Rigondeaux was ****ING BRILLIANT!!! For his First Step up in Competition....It was Solid. Now that his feet are wet in going deep into fights...I would imagine he will throw more and take more risk/chances in the later rounds.

    Damn...I was Impressed.

Rigo couldn't even hit cordoba. he was out of range all the time, i understand he didn't wanna be hit but he couldn't reach his opponent either. what i saw was a lot of flashes but to no effect cause he isn't landing neither. If he wants to dance, that's fine, but at least he needs to land cleanly and effectively. all flash and dash but the result is horrible. kind of reminds me of devon alexander, flashy but hitting nothing but air against kotelnik lol

There was a round (or many) when Cordoba didn't even land a punch. He's got all the skills necessary to clearly win fights, but you still gotta entertain the public. I wonder why people can't differentiate the two completely different aspects.

Only the casual fans really criticized him like that. I saw in the first 6 rounds a near perfect boxer. He was living up to his name in those 6 rounds. Then the last 2 he just moved too much. If he could fight the entire fight like he did those 6 well i dont even think it would have gone 12. But it seems that after he got dropped he didnt want to take any risk at all. Therefore no reward.

So he is an amateur that just won an Interim belt, beating an ex-champ that has a win over Caballeros in only his 7 pro fight, your assesment is right on the spot. What I think happened is, the whole big event got to him, he was not confidence that he could go the 12th rounds, he had cordoba ready to go in the 4th, and he didn't put the foot on the gas pedal, then he hurt him again in the 11th and 12th and pull back, imo. And now if you get dropped, you have a china chin, I think these "fans" are playing too much play station.
