I think those who give Haye a good chance of ko'ing Wlad are putting too much stock in the notion that he has a glass chin. It won't "only take one shot" to knock him out. When has he ever been knocked out with one shot? Haye has the weaker chin of the two, look at the Mock and Mormeck knockdowns ffs, it's conceivable that he could get knocked down by Wlad's jab! He could possibly win a decision over Vitali but even that's a long shot as he doesn't have the workrate or stamina needed to pull that off. I would be hugely impressed if he managed to beat either one of them but I just don't think he can. It would be fun to watch him try though.
Vitali easily. He'd still have his work cut out, can't run around and wave his arms about throwing 10 punches a round like he did against Valuev. He'd be made to work for the full 12, throwing three times as many punches as he likes to generally. I can see a tired Haye being stopped on his feet in the last round - and it really pains me to say that, I can't stick Haye and his BS any longer but Vitlay is a **** too. Wlad knocks him the **** out with ease. Taller, better variety of punches, controls the range and pace of the fight well...... Haye might win an early round or two looking flash but eventually will get caught and put out of his misery in the mid rounds as Wlad starts to put it on him. Haye does have a chance against Vitali, a good one - but would have to show us something completely new.
This is pretty much where I'm at too, except I still like Haye and Vit as personalities. I know, I'm probably still the only one, but I cant help it.
I think Haye would put it on WLad!! And it'd be a suprising result.... especially with Wlads **** chin.. I think Hayes got a good chance
I think ti depends on how highly you rate Haye as a mattaer of fact. If you think he has a decent chance and doesnt match up too badly with the brothers then like I beleive its Vitali. Vitali punches are far slower, Haye will have much more time to react and go in for a quick counter. Vitali also doesnt have the KO power of Vlad, he couldnt knock out an admitedly defensive but awful Kevin Johnson and he couldnt finish Briggs despite giving him the beating of his life. Haye's chin will likely stand up better to a Vitali shot. Wlad has a much better offensive armoury and boxing skillset with which he can trouble Haye. If you dont rate Haye that highly and think he will be outclassed then you will go for Wlad. This is because no matter how outclassed he is he always has that punchers chance that isnt there with Vitali. I'd say a Vitali KO is unlikely but a clean bomb on Wlad and he's going down. If you rate Haye highly you give him a chance of outboxing Vitali. If you dont rate him highly then you give him a punches chance against Wlad.
It only takes one shot to turn him in to a staggering oaf. Once its got to this stage its as good as over, regardless of whether he's technically gone down from that shot or not.
I always thought Wladimir, but Vitali does truly seem to be slowing down. Haye underdog in both, of course. Still think Wlad on balance, though. One good quick shot in the right place could upset Wlad's applecart, you don't quite imagine that happening to Vitali.
