At this point I do see Alvarez & Angulo beating him too. I wouldn't be surprised if either one ko's him.

due to him being a muppet who tried cheating i would like to see that. but for his health retirement is the best option.

Retirement is the best option for him but unfortunately nothing would stop him from continuing his boxing career...or getting a big payday he doesn't deserve.

Yes and good riddance, we don't need cheaters who call out and lose to smaller opponents in the sport.

Margarito is clearly in decline and has taken two bad beatings in his last 3 fights. But, I don't think he should retire nor will he. I'm not a fan of his being allowed to box with his handwrap issue but the fact is he is allowed and will keep doing so.

He has several big rematches he could go after- Cotto, Williams, Martinez, and Mosley. He could fight Angulo which would have a lot of interest and even at this point a Margarito-Mayorga fight would be entertaining.

I think he'll take an easy fight this summer and then face Cotto at the end of the year. If he wins he fights someone like the winner of Williams-Martinez. If he loses to Cotto, like I think he will, then he gets served up as a name opponent to a young guy like Angulo or Kirkland.

Why would he retire ? Margo still is a strong contender, Cotto deserves a rematch to clear things up. Alvarez & Angulo , Williams . No shame in losing to Pac & Mosley.

Give him any of the emerging prospects at 154: Alvarez, Lara, Martirosyan, Angulo, Kirkland, etc. It would be a nice test for either side. If Marg wins he can have a rematch with Cotto. I just don't think it's a good idea to immediately give Marg another lucrative fight. That would be asinine. He didn't deserve it with Pac. He sure as hell doesn't deserve another one after a one sided loss.

Neither one of those fighter's is on the $$ level as Margarito.
They still need a couple good wins each + alot more exposure.

+ Kirkland is not even on the radar right now, He has to start from scratch. To quote Floyd, "It don't make $ense"

    :patsch Boxing is a business...
Or did you forget Cotto got a championship fight @ 154lbs without EVER fighting a contender in that weight class... Coming straight off a beatdown?

Make a fight with that Bundrage character for the IBF belt then Cotto and him can have their grudge match and unify. It wouldn't make much sense for Margo to go directly into a rematch/title fight against Cotto.

He would smoke the 5'6" 37 year old title holder.
