If he beats Katzidis he'll have had two wins by the end of the year but considering he was more dominant over Diaz last time I wouldn`t call a UD over DIaz and a win over Katzidis fither of the year material.

You don't get to call him a 'middleweight' on that, though. Genuine middles often rehydrate to the 180s come fight night; it doesn't make them cruiserweights. It's more of Linus trying to build a one-sided beatdown into something it wasn't.

If Pascal and/or Martinez win, they have to be considered the top candidates

Pacquiao, hands down, right now, just like that poll is saying. The weight difference against an in shape, well motivated brawler like Maragrito- and the fashion in which Manny won- is too much to overlook or downplay.

Let's see Mayweather fought the "#2 P4P" a 135 (would be better at 130 IMO) at 147 LAST YEAR. Mayweather fought Mosley after Mosley's bout with Berto (Correct me if I'm wrong) fell apart due to the earthquake. Note that Mosley started training 2 months earlier than Mayweather, he could've been overtrained.
He only fought once this year. Well if you include his fight Harris then I guess it'd be twice. :deal

I too would lean toward Martinez if he wins again vs P Will.

I think though if Martinez beats Williams. Paul Williams and Kelly Pavlik > Margarito and Clottey, but I could see them giving it to Pacquiao anyways thought just because of who he was
