No, I don't think either camp has actually. Even Audley, the most deluded boxer on the planet, had to hold his hands up after and admit he was crap. As for the worst heavyweight title fights - Wladimir Klitschko v Tony Thompson is up there for me. A total borefest from rounds 1-11. Even the KO was laughable. Thompson's nickname should have been "Turtle" instead of "Tiger".
Cheers mate! :good Keep us updated if you hear his side of the WBC claim that he is retired. Sounds like a nice wee story for you to cover.
I did feel that Thompson was looking for a comfy spot to land, having already tried to end things with some fake limping around at the start of the round. Still, again, didn't go the full distance so not as bad as others. Audley did one of the worst performances in a HW title fight, though still better than poor old Seldon against Tyson. But in terms of worst HW title fights period, a 3-round blowout shouldn't be in the Top Ten. Not round after round of mind-crushing banality like Schulz-Botha, for instance.
Tonights show is gonna be very interesting. I see alot of criticism coming Buncey's way, god knows why. I can see this forum gettin very tasty later on when the show is on. As far as boring heavyweight fights go, Klitschkos vs Peter (the latest one), Chambers, Thompson, Briggs, Johnsom, Arreola. Any chance of asking Rob Smith if there is anything they can do get more undercard fights shown on a paperview show?
Buncey, when are you going to do another boxing tour, went to the first one at Kersal Social Club, if you do, how about Liverpool or Warrington?
How can you have Wlad Peters as one of the worst HW fights of all time??? What are you, like 6 yrs old?
Are you serious or just not a Klitschko fan? How the hell can you have Vitali Klitschko v Chris Arreola as a one of the worst title fights ever? Even Wlad v Peter II and Chambers weren't that bad even though they were too one-sided. If Wlad was loud talking, American and had an IQ of about 50 the world would love him.
1. Im 22 years old 2. I aint a fan of Klitschkos against the ones i mentioned because I dont want to see 120-108 point victories in a heavyweight fight. A couple of the ones I mentioned only came for the cash and didnt throw a punch. 3. Its an opinion, I dont mind the Klitschkos but Id like to see them in a proper tear up. 4. I aint gonna mention heavyweight fights that I dont have an idea about, them being so bad is probably a reason why I havent heard of them.
Buncey could you ask Froch if he sparred with Lemieux in preperation for the Abraham fight please. All Froch as said is that he has sparred with a top canadian prospect.
Logic...what is the question? Is it: "When are you going to fight a Klitschko?" You are too late: Question asked and written about in detail in Monday morning's Independent (15/11/2010). Sorry, to have done what you think I was incapable of. The celebrity dinner invite stuff was borderline slander.....be careful. Adios.
