Most people who live here on earth are right handed.Count the first top 15 fighters in any weight division who are S.P. and who are orthodox and see what you come up with.

Also, if boxing became all southpaws, the southpaws and orthodox fighters would all become very skilled at fighting them. The fact people have problems with them is most guys do not fight them very often.

Ignoring the OP, I must say that it's because being a lefty is evil and most fighters don't want to be damned to an eternity of hellfire and being sodomized by demon elephants.

southpaws are a lot closer to their opponent when he/she is fighting a right hand fighter.

point in taking most MLB first base players are lefties..closer to the mound to sweep tag.

Southpaws are initially confusing, but think about it- their stance has a natural weakness to the right hand right down the pipe(the bread and butter power punch of the majority of orthodox fighters), and by standing with their right side forward they naturally bring their liver closer to their opponent- making it even easier to hook conclusively to the body.

If speed and power is a great asset to have, why doesn't everyone have it?

    :good

If a headguard prevents you from getting hurt, why doesn't everyone just wear one?
