And is he so terribly greedy, all his fights have to be inhouse and make him money but why? he is already rich enough, he is 80 years old and will probably and luckily be dead within 5 years, no need to be such a greedy mother****er and just give the fans the fights they want to see.

YOu don't stop caring about money if you're rich. Rich people wouldn't even be rich if they had the simple mindset of I already have enough.

YOu look at guys like Floyd and wonder why he just doesn't take 50%, or why emmanuel doesn't shut up and go with 40-45%. It's the exact same reason why bob keeps fiending for moar.

The mindset of we'll all be making a lot of money, so we should all be happy does not exist for these people. It's all about maximizing what will be made for them.

It's all about power. Money=power. So if you command the larger share of a purse or your in-house shows command more money or PPV then that is a reflexion of your power. Arum will stay around as long as he can be top dog and keep Goldenboy at bay. There's power to be gained and money to be made

“I don't have blue eyes and I am not white, but a Mexican arriving on the cusp of fame, and that is what they do not support,” De La Hoya told La Opinion in 2001. “Bob Arum's people hope I lose because they can't see a Mexican above them, and also that he defeated one of the biggest Jews to come out of Harvard.” - Oscar de La Hoya

He can't stand the thought of his two most successful "sons", Floyd and Oscar, topping him.

    A snake is a snake.

Giving the shaft to everyone is what is keeping the ******* alive. As soon as he looses the desire or stops screwing the Boxing world he will croak.

Why does Arum need all the money anyway?

The guy would sell his mother for a $1.00 (if had had one), and
    send her C.O.D.

This truely is the worst thread ever. I dont mean to be harsh , but when you are at the very top you always want to stay there.

Do you know he works 18 hour days.

When Don King was at his strongest in the 80's / early 90's he was working 7 days a week and a minimum of 16 hours a day.

These men dont do it for the money , they do it because they live it.
