Wilfried Sauerland runs/ran one of Germanys 2 big boxing promotions, Sauerland event. His son Kalle seems to do most of it now. The other's Universum.

Yeah, the fact Booth even brought them up as a potential obstacle, and Boente instantly dismissed them out of hand, tells you all you need to know about Booth-Haye's reluctance to turn their immediate attention to the Klits.

Did they discuss Wladimir wanting to cut David Haye's balls off?

Seriously, having heard about the situation between Groves-De Gale, do people even doubt Booth is all talk?

They're not all talk. Yeah they've been talking a lot but most of it is backed up in the ring. Groves had a tough fight against Kenny Anderson yeah but he's still faced better opposition than DeGale so far. Adam Booth just looks after his own interests which at the end of the day is what everyone in boxing does. I think he and Groves want a fight with DeGale more than Frank and James want it.

If the fight goes where it will make most money, probably germany, then haye stands to make a fortune on ticket sales from a 50/50 split seen as the klitschko's can sell out the schalke stadium with 60,000 people. Add in the fact that HBO have openly stated that the only HW fights they would be intersted in is the Klitschko's against either Haye or Adamek so thats more money from the biggest network in america. Add in sponsorship and other financial incentives, giving the Klitschko's half the uk tv money mite not be as bad as he thinks it is.

The fight plus British PPV will make the most money here, I'm sure.

Booth saying they want Wlad 1st, but given the contract situation of both fighters it might not happen straight away.

So it should be Vitali, whom I believe finished his 2 fight deal with RTL after the Briggs fight, Wlad has one more fight with RTL and Haye one with ARD/Sauerland.

If I've got that right the logic is go for Vitali 1st, there should be less hassle over the tv deal.

it would sell out Wembley or the Millenium which can both hold 70-80,000

Id tend to disagree. How do you know that Haye could get say 60-70,000 at say Wembley which is what he would need to get for to have this staged in England. A lot of the casuals who paid good money last saturday night to see him won't wanna pay again. The Klitschko's consistently fight infront of huge numbers in Germany.

Thats based purely on assumption. Sorry, but the facts say the Klitschko's are the bigger draw.

maybe you are slightly underestimating Haye here, he is a good salesman.

I mean look at the interest for the Valuev fight, I mean **** even my missus was talking about it and wanted to watch it.

the fact is if he faces Wlad, the true heavyweight champion, Sky and Haye will spin the life out of it and people will buy it!

Undisputed heavyweight title fight on British shores will pull in a massive crowd imo.

Exactly. Booth was dishing out excuses about them all having mandatories and then Boente came on and made a mug out of Booth by simply stating that a unification fight would be no problem to make.

Booth saying he wants Haye to fight Vlad first, trying to make an issue out of the German TV side, when it isnt an issue at all. Booth got owned - at one point he did his party piece of pretending not to hear what the other guy said in order to buy time because he didnt know what to say - he is full of **** and clearly wants no part of the Klit bros until Haye fights Chagaev (at least).

*McCrory, Nelson and Smith came across as being genuinely pissed off about the Haye fight and didnt try to make excuses - I am far more forgivable if people put up their hands.

Its obvious Booth does not want any of VK until he's a grandad, or till he gets his first payday with Wlad, as he knows VK would lay Haye out.

The fight will only happen in england if haye can draw those numbers. But u have to understand that about a good 3rd of that crowd in the m.e.n. saturday night were casual fans and probably half the people who bought it on Sky were casuals aswell and there is a good chance now he has lost them.
