Start watching at the 8:10 mark.

Boente is asked about the German TV side of things, and his response is:

"Just as an example, if RTL paid 3million euros, another television station offered 4million euros...the difference is 1million...you get 500,000 and we get 500,000...we could find an agreement about those 500,000 because in the end we're talking about really big numbers not small numbers between german tv companies"

LOL at Booth saying he didn't get a clear answer, right after Boente
CLEARLY stated the above. That seems like a clear statement to me.

    Booth is a dunce.

I find this remarkable. Bönte is probably 99.99% sure that there is no "higher mystery bidder" than RTL. All these bull**** stories of ARD outbidding RTL in Germany are a smokescreen.

As a sidenote, Haye - Harrison on ARD drew a 4 million viewing figure. Compare that to Vitali - Briggs doing 13 million on RTL. Even Valuev - Haye did 9 million I believe.

Haye is nowhere close to the draw in Germany that he thinks he is.

    True...
Looks like they are calling Haye's bluff regarding this.

    where is this from?

I watched the interview tonight on Sky Sports and this was not mentioned?

There was no offer to make up the short fall. What was talked about, in theory, was that the German tv bid go the highest bidder and to actually quote it "if ARD offer 4 million and RTL 3 million then we'll split that extra million 50/50"

I don't have Sky, or whatever channel the interview was on...just quoting Will Cooling.

I believe Wladimir normally gets 3 million from RTL under his current contract. So what does an extra million do?
How would that effect the split? I don't know....anyway it's all theoretical, because no network will outbid RTL anyway.
The bottom line is that the Klitschko Brothers are doing a lot MORE than is needed to try and get the fight made, while Haye and Booth just keep
    coming up with excuses.

You know, it's been this way for over 2-years now, and I honestly don't have a lot of faith in the fight being made in 2011. Sure, I'd love for it to be made...just don't see it happening.

Remember all the public confrontation by Haye? The T-Shirts? The constant talk about how the Klitschko Brothers are bums?

And after all of that, Haye has a 50/50, no options, no rematch offer on the table, that he will most likely turn down. Unbelievable.

as the deal stands with the brothers and RTL - they received 2.5 million per fight with Wlad on a 3 fight deal (which expires after the Chisora fight) and Vitali on a 2 fight deal (which expired after the Briggs fight).

so from my point of view, and to get through all the talk and moaning from each camp and with Haye having one more fight left with ARD/Sauerland then he has to face Vitali first.

Vitali should just give Haye a 90/10 split, just earning enough to pay his corner, and training expenses, to show the world that Haye IS a coward, and will refuse even that.:deal

    SAD but TRUE!:rofl

I think Haye would refuse 98/2, even. Leaving Vitali only enough to feed his team a fast food meal after the fight. Haye would find some excuse to avoid the deal.
