Because all writers write with full integrity right? Because writers will never have any instance in which the message contains underlying bias? It's like those people who said the earth was flat because the church said so. Anyways this is old news. Did you even watch the Floyd/Shane 24/7? Although blood had ceased, Shane was still tested right before he got on the plane to Vegas.
The USADA ALREADY said the fighters were NOT aware when the blood testing or urine testing would end. The POSSIBILITY of EITHER being requested, at any time, was understood to be the case, prior to the bout. It's called RANDOM...not a participant imposed cutoff, as Pacquiao is suggesting.
the reading comprehension of some posters on ESB is ALARMINGLY low there was no cut off...the agency could have tested both men the night before the fight if they wanted to...they simply chose not to
Stopping blood testing 18 days before the May 1st Mayweather-Mosley fight (ALMOST 3 WEEKS!) puts into question USADA's statement that blood testing doesn't weaken a boxer. They said only a few days are needed to cleanse out one's system. If it was that safe, then why not test every single day of training? Hypocrites.
it's a deterrent dude lol..how hard is that to grasp? with the "risk" of being tested at any given time, it discourages anyone planning on juicing
This. I don't have a problem with the randomness like PimpC said. He's correct, not gonna argue that. The issue tarugojones brings up is relevatory one. USADA and Floyd make a big issue of finding the dopers, that's the whole point besides their crazy demand for blood testing. The blood testing they say is the only failsafe way to catch dopers. If we as laymen take them on their word, then you must ask why the **** did they stop testing 18 days out when they know Mosley was a doper and one who has a long and storied past and relationship with the ONE guy behind the whole BALCO fiasco? Mosley has a history of beating the system, KNOWN HISTORY! Why would they stop testing 18 days out if they say that blood is the absolutely required to thoroughly catch dopers? And since they stopped 18 days out, apparently for Tygart and USADA, URINE WORKED JUST FINED huh? If you missed it, the issue is at some point you have to try to catch the doper and if blood was sooo darn important, why'd you stop using your ace in the hole 18 days out?
Would there be an element of surprise in that? And why would they need to do it everyday, anyway? They can be just as effective, using less time and resources, testing randomly throughout the fight camp.
