Is Mosley shot?

yes, he should retire, he is ruining big fights for us now and is only getting hurt in the process, i dont want him the end up badly injured, so he should retire or stick to fighting slower guys.

 

He is older there is denying that, absolutely.
But for the type of fights he is looking for, His style could still be effective.
(Can't fault dude for taking the Mayweather fight & being outboxed)

He's not shot in the sense that he can't "pull the trigger." The guy is a shell of Sugar Shane Mosley c.2001 however

 

his last two fights tells it all.. nothing more to say

 

I think he probably is shot, though I'm not certain.

He is unquestionably years past his best though. You have to back to the first Vargas fight, to see a really good version of Mosley. Obviously people will always talk about the Margarito fight, but that was a smokescreen, against a guy who physically or mentally, wasn't there. Look at his fight against Mayorga or watch him getting outboxed by Cotto. He looked poor against an injured Collazo and the fight with Mora stunk. He had one good round against Mayweather and that's it.

He's been done as an elite level fighter for years and the Margarito fight is almost irrelevant, because of the circumstances involved.

 

I have said it once, And I will say it again!!! Shane Mosley is NOT SHOT!!! He's old, but not shot. Jernain Taylor is Shot, Edison Miranda is Shot, Ricardo Mayorga was Shot, Fernando Vargas was Shot. Mosley beaten by a narrow margin from a Prime Miguel Cotto, Totally outboxed by the Best Boxer in the Sport 9no shame in that many people have been). Destoyed Margarito and Chased a younger bigger fighter (Mora) who ran away from Mosley for 12 Rounds. Mosley has never been wabbled, staggered, knocked-down or KTFO. Again....He's OLD, NOT SHOT!!!!

But I get it though...If Floyd Mayweather beats someone....he's shot. If Manny Pacquiao beats them...it's just considered an AWESOME performance. You still can't get some Pacquiao fans to admit that it was a poor, old and weak version of ODLH that Manny beat.

Not at all. I said this in the past:

Too many people get caught up in wanting Mayweather to lose, that they look beyond is opponents faults and hype him up too much. Mosley is exactly the same. He shouldn't have been a challange for Floyd at that stage in his career.

The Margarito fight was really bizarre. He didn't have anything that night, so I can't rate the win highly. I don't know whether it was all mental or he was weight drained, like some think, but he looked awful. It would obviously be a great win if there were no questions, but I just can't accept that the version he beat, was anything close to prime Margarito. I think this even more since the Pacquiao/Margarito fight, where he showed something against a better, more awkward opponent than Mosley. He looked focused and determined. Against Mosley, he just wasn't.

I can understand why people would have a completely different opinion than mine though.

As for the second Vargas fight, I ignore it because of how shot Vargas was.
