Nobody with a poor/leaky defense is going to beat Mayweather. Simply because the best way to beat Mayweather, is to take away his offense. Mayweather works his offense off his defense, which is your offense, now if you dont tuck up sufficiently enough when on offense, you give him more opportunities to work his offense because of your poor defense.

Honestly, anyone who has any reservations of how this fight will go, should watch the 8th round of this fight, as the only time he has success, is when the opponent gets trapped on the ropes, meanwhile he gets picked off as he is looking to apply pressure, but not being mindful of maintaining a good defense in the process, only Mayweather is a better fighter, with more transition from defense to offense to make you pay.

Pac had Cotto down twice in the first four rounds and Cotto already looked like he was out of his league in the 2nd.

"if Cotto had a better gas tank, stuck to his strategy, I have a feeling Manny would of lost that fight."

No wonder you think Floyd beats Pac

you can ko him, you can outland him, imagine williams with better defense, or a guy like martinez, and pacquiao with his 1000 punches a fight.
    Mayweather isnt unbeatable.

Whitaker would have beat Floyd with his excellent defense and jab. Amir Khan, if he still alive, in early 2012 would give Floyd the hardest fight of his career.

Cotto has a poor stance which makes him easier to hit, I probably should of mentioned that to, at times he puts too much weight on the lead foot, which leaves him open to straight lefts, he also stands too square, holds his hands too high, which leaves him wide open up the middle.

Cotto's strategy of working behind the jab fell apart early as Manny started to time the jab and counter with his left straight down the middle. As soon as Cotto even thought about throwing a jab Manny's left hand was flicking his head back.

I'll admit that it's exacerbated by the fact that Cotto is very easy to drag into a tear up, but if you're getting countered every time you throw your jab, then you're not going to be able to keep that distance and box sensibly.

Cotto doesn't have a right hand, the most most important punch against a left hander, so he was "naked" whenever throwing that jab.

He had almost no defense, actually.

You can possibly outland him, but you need to manoeuvre him into the right areas of the ring IMO, and doing that means you need to show a good defense when maneuvering him to where you want him.

I should add that I'm not using that to say Pacquiao will beat Mayweather, it's purely my take on the Pac - Cotto fight

He did'nt, not as leaky as Manny's. Castillo was able to stalk and manoeuvre Floyd outta the center of the ring because Mayweather could not see the easy openings as he came foward, as Castillo used head feints and patience to manoeuvre Mayweather around.
