I'll agree with this. When Pacquiao took away Cotto's jab it was game over for Miguel. He didn't have anything else.

Mayweather, on the other hand, has a plethora of tricks in his bag to choose from. That's where Manny will struggle.

Castillo beat Mayweather. A past-prime Oscar ran him close as hell.

Pacquiao will do better than either of them. His speed, workrate, power and accuracy put him on a different level to either Castillo or Oscar. :good

Ima tell you now, from what I saw in those clips, that punch will land over and over for Mayweather, particularly as he is considerably longer than Manny.

Freddie Roach says the shoulder-roll will not work against a southpaw. We have already seen signs to indicate this may be true in other Floyd fights, but the opponents in question were not good enough to maintain their successes. Pac is. Sorry gooners, but I go with Roach's knowledge over your own. :good

Because Roach didn't expect Cotto gonna run, so basically team Pacquiao doesn't have a gameplan for that situation. Now don't think if May vs Pac is on they gonna do what they do to Cotto. Definetly different tactics.

This is part of the fight I'm looking forward to seeing. Mayweather is the king of adapting to his opponent on the fly, and once he's done that he usually cruises home. But I want to see how Pac can adapt if Floyd neutralises something Pac was having success with earlier on. I think Pac is under rated in his ring intelligence - this would be a great test

The jab, the left hook, and the straight right will keep Pacquiao tamed all night. A lot of people will be shocked how ordinary Mayweather will make him look in the second part of the fight.

    I agree with that.

Thing is though, Oscar and! Castillo, were able to show patience to manoeuvre Mayweather into areas of the ring where they could be effective, Manny doesn't have that kind of patience imo, and if he had to show that patience, I anticipate he would get picked off more!, as some fighters can only be as effective fighting at a frenetic pace.

I think Floyd is going to be a bit worried early when Pac has some success with that right hook. It's going to be coming at him quicker than any punch has before. And Judah gave Floyd some trouble with it from the southpaw stance.

It's what Floyd does to take that away that's important, and then what Manny can do to compensate. Good I want to see this fight . . .

It wont, but your interpreting this wrong.

The shoulder roll is utilized when you're a stationary target, Mayweather doesn't need not to be stationary to pop Manny with the lead right, then slide away.

Pac is shorter with far less reach than Oscar and Castillo, using them as a barometer is ridiculous, because their height is what allowed them to get close. Pac will be stranded in no mans land trying to get close using his speed of foot, which is not what it takes to get close to Mayweather. He will have to find a way to get close to Floyd to have any kind of chance if not it could be a one sided beating on the outside, Floyd is really good at maintaining range.

That short lefthookercut (thats what it looks like) he throws in close is his most devastating punch. It seems like no fighter sees it coming. It will be interesting to see if Pac can get close enough to land it, but I would certainly have Mayweather stepping to his left to avoid that shot, its brutal.

Cotto leans foward, puts too much weight on the lead foot, now what this does, is put you closer in line for potential jabs, and straight left hands, particularly when the opponent, has a tendency for punching through the target with his left hand, instead of on it, mabye that is why he was able to counter his jab occasionally? only Mayweather keeps his weight central, has a long reach, changes the rhythm of when he jabs, which is why his most probably wont get countered.
