Valuev was Haye's toughest opponent at HW. Chagaev beat Valuev soundly. At the very least it's gonna be a tough fight for Haye.
Considering Haye's life and death struggles against Fragomeni and Mormeck who have similar styles to Chagaev but are much worse skillwise and in regards to chin and tougness, Chagaev would have to be the favorite going into this bout. A points or more likely a KO win for Chagaev.
i did mean with talent the physical Gifts he got. i agree That Chagaev technical skills are very good he is recognised as a very good boxer everywhere elsewhere but in ESB. Chagaev career was ruined by inactivity/accidents. BEfore Valuev Fight I would give him very good change to stop Haye today, not much.

As far as WBA madatories go, this is actually a great one. Haye's poor defence and Valuev-like punch output will be his undoing in this one. Chagaev will get to Haye when he throws combinations, and has the pop to put him away. Haye wont fight a Klitschko now, but at least we'll get to see the hype job exposed before he tries to sneak off to retirement as a paper champ I really hope this fight happens, because I've given up on him fighting a Klitschko
Chagaev was never all that great, and after getting sick, he's only half of what he once was. Chagaev is to slow to bother Haye. And Haye hits hard enough to discourage Chagaev from mixing it up. Most likely, Haye would beat Chagaev in a similar fashion to what he did to Ruiz. But even more likely is that Haye doesn't take that fight and fights someone who is closer to 40.
I lean towards a Haye-Chagaev fight not happening somehow. But, if they were to fight I'd make Haye a slight favorite. Chagaev is a solid fighter but I think he's starting to decline. I don't think Haye stops him because Chagaev has a solid chin but Haye would most likely win a close decision.

I think it's telling that Adam Booth doesn't mention Chagaev by name when he talks about the upcoming WBA mandatory.... If you look at the other names on the list, you've got Valuev, Boystov, and Rahman as winnable fights for Haye. Chagaev, Adamek, Povetkin, and Ustinov not so winnable, though I'd give Haye even odds in any of those. Let's see how Chagaev does against Walker.
I have a bad feeling it wont happen too. I don't think Haye would choose to fight Chagaev or Povetkin who both have the aggression and technical ability to **** him up

Even John Ruiz sligthly buckled his knees. Stop over dramatizing this subject buddy. Haye is a Great Fighter but has extremely bad punch resistance. I say "punch resistance" because alot of shots has shaken him has actualyl hit David to his temple or something like top of the head.
I agree with you and it would be violently beat down so far what I have seen about Ustinov. Ustinov makes Valuev look like a Floyd Mayweather.
Come on Malibua, you're smarter than that. I think. Look at the facts: David Haye was wobbled against Mock, stopped on his feet against Thompson, knocked down against Mormeck, and that is basically the extent of punch resistance issue. Never been knocked out or counted out or finished a fight on the canvas. Travis Walker has been knocked out and stopped badly 6 times, all within the fist 6 rounds of a fight, all to average and below average opponents. He has an awful chin, and his losses prove this beyond any doubt. He will likely be knocked out by Chagaev tommorow. Are you serious?
