I haven't heard of them TBH. Of course we all know Shane has been past-prime for sometime but I didn't hear much people calling him shot until after Mayweather. Shane is reminding me of a late 90's-early 00's Holyfield. He looks bad against movers & has been pretty inconsistent. His best bet is to fight slower guys who are there to be hit.

I can see him being like Holyfield and fighting on way too long, I mean, he said he thinks he can go on until he's 47.

He couldn't even beat Mora. The old Mosley would of toasted Mora. Pac is becoming a worser cherry-picker than Floyd.

Yeah in interviews I have heard him say stuff like "Hopkins can do it" but Mosley and Hopkins fight nothing alike. Hopkins has instilled the fundamentals&tricks of boxing in his mind and is very hard to hit flush even at his age. Mosley is the exact opposite and is more like Jones than Hopkins and we saw how longetivity & age affected Jones.

Yeah B-Hop is very wily and clever and has adapted to cope with his age, whereas Shane is more reliant on his reflexes. It's alright when he fights guys like Margarito who he can tie up, but when he fights guys like Mayweather and Mora he'll have big problems. I think if he's to fight on he needs to stay at welter and fight face-first guys.

I agree. Guys who come-forward and are there to be hit are perfect for the current Shane.

He's been caled shot since before his Vargas fight, after the Mayorga fight, after looking fairly unimpressive against a few unranked WW's.

But yes, against a stationary opponent, he probably would look better.

Mosley that brutalized Margarito was also shot and that goes to show how bad Margarito is without his cheating loaded gloves.

You're right, it is his choice to continue or not but he more than anyone should see that he is slipping and has been for the longest. Not saying he should or should not retire but it is something he needs to put deep thought in.

He looked great against Vargas in the second fight though that Fernando was a dead man. I highly recommend Shane to stay away from movers.

Yep, his footwork seems to have deteriorated and he isnt as patient anymore. Like you said his shots seem to have gotten wilder over the years and that wont help him against movers.

I agree, but I must add, looking good (wouldn't say great by a stretch) against Fernando vargas is hardly a viable measuring stick. Two guys on the heavy decline can still put a good scrap together. Holy vs. Tyson might stil have some fireworks for a bit if they fought. And both are shot to ****.
